This may be hard for some to believe, looking around at these puce-colored meeting houses, but once upon a time, the Church played the role of linking those two ideas in society.
You don’t REALLY think it’s the ‘Christian thing’ to step-and-fetch to every little decree an unrighteous government official makes demanding that we forfeit the right to actually, you know, LIVE as Christians?
At least, until it’s convenient for the State to change it’s mind anyway.
Imagine if that was how the First Century church rolled? If it were, we never would have had a second-century church.
