Here’s something that you won’t see on CNN…

So many on the Left are claiming that the police were “easy” on the pro-Trump protesters in D.C. on the 6th and that if they were BLM supporters, it would have looked very different.

Let me be perfectly clear here, I get the anger, I get the annoyance with shenanigans that went on before the election to change the rules in swing states at the 11th hour using the pandemic as an excuse to remove guardrails for a fair election. I completely understand the frustration of not having the merits of any of the cases of election “irregularities” heard in court. And I 100% understand the completely reasonable anger at being called racist simply for supporting the conservative policies of the President of the United States. I get it. Democrats have been working on undermining the integrity of elections for decades and calling anyone who opposed them racist. But, I still think that the whole break into the Capitol Building while the election results are being certified was completely unacceptable. We wouldn’t have liked it if the Left did it in 2016, and we shouldn’t accept it from our side now.

Frankly, everyone holds right-wingers to a higher standard, and generally, they live up to them. We expect left-wing protests to go south in a hurry, and no one was really surprised that the Tea Party would have rallies and leave the place cleaner than when they arrived.

But this idea that is being floated that it would have been a mass-casualty event if the protesters had been mainly BLM supporters is totally ridiculous. In the wake of George Floyd’s death, many of the protesters were white. That’s just demographics. Still, what did the police do? Many of them took a knee and supported the protests.

What happened on Tuesday, January 6 with the pro-Trump protesters?

Well, Ashli Babbit was shot and killed by a police officer.

Also, several Trump supporters were barricaded into their hotel by a police officer who placed a rod to prevent the door from opening. The incident occurred after dark while Trump supporters were filming the incident.

Do you remember anything like that when Antifa/BLM descended on D.C. night after night protesting, harassing people, vandalizing businesses, setting fire to a historic church, and tearing down statues? Me neither.

Hat Tip to Mindy Robinson for the video.

Many Twitter users were absolutely shocked by this video.

A handful of others shrugged it off saying that Trump-supporters were just whining while completely missing the issue with this dangerous move.

We can’t have two standards when it comes to protesters. Either we’re free to peacefully protest and riots are quelled on both sides, or it’s a free-for-all and the anarchists have won. But this dichotomy where left-wing protest can go wild without consequence and right-wing protests are called Klan rallies when they’re peaceful and then called sedition when they get out of hand isn’t doing anything to “unify” the country. It’s just driving us further apart.

This is precisely why we are supposed to have impartial justice in this country.

It’s also why we can’t just call all cops “bastards” and “racists” for the behavior of individual cops. This guy who barricaded the door violated his oath to “serve and protect.” There should be severe consequences for that. He literally put peoples’ lives in danger and he violated their rights by unlawfully confining them for absolutely no cause.

It’s completely unacceptable and I’m not so happy with those other cops hanging back letting him do it.

You know that if this was a cop doing this to BLM supporters it would be headlines everywhere. That’s just one more disgusting part of this.
