After years of Democrats openly opposing Christian including appointments like ACB, they are suddenly thrilled to see the most Christian of all Presidents take office.

It did not escape our notice that he only counts as Christian if his religious belief is the heretical kind that elevates a secular state above traditional Christian faith and practice.

‘Bible-toting Joe’ had his opportunity to show us his devout and unifying side at the occasion of the prayer breakfast. It looked remarkably like his old boss’s Obama’s ‘devout’ secular side.

It’s soaked in the very same language as his political campaign and seems more preoccupied by pointing fingers and advancing a political cause than it is about any faith other than the all-encompassing secular confidence in the salvific role of a good and wise leader in an all-powerful government.

Back in the days of Rome, that confidence was called ‘Emporer Worship’.

Other cultures have done it too. Imperial Japan, Soviet Russia, North Korea. Even today, Xi is forcing Churches to take down crosses and put up his photo.

Worship in China is perfectly fine, so long as it can fit within the rigid boxes that the government assigns it.

Since ‘unifying’ Biden loves to draw on 1930s German metaphors so much, let us be clear. Mr. Unity is leveraging the prayer breakfast for political gain in precisely the way that Hitler used the Reichstag Fire.

He is trying to delegitimize the only political force that stands between Democrats and iron-fisted transformative one-party rule over a nation in which nobody can have the power to tell him ‘no’.

He denounces ‘domestic terrorism, but not the organized riots of the summer. He denounces ‘domestic violence’ but (just like that video on the day he declared his run) he cannot bring himself to denounce the violent, murderous movement on the left.

He denounces attempts to ‘overthrow’ the government, but not the burning down of government buildings, the explicit Anti-American Marxist mandate of BLM, or Planned Parenthood organizing, funding, and scripting a takeover of the Senate Building that disrupted the Gorsuch hearings, where doxxing, threats, and intimidation were deliberately employed to subvert the orderly process of a judicial hearing. He didn’t bat an eye when Schumer called out sitting Justices by name, invoking biblical terms of divine retributive judgment ‘reap the whirlwind’ while standing before a politicized and angry crowd. And Joe publicly mocked Trump as a ‘coward’ when the Secret Service relocated the First Family to safety when they were concerned that the violent crowd massed against the White House might result in a security breach.

If this sounds familiar it should. Biden is the empty suit pushing the fundamental transformation promised for Obama’s third term. Obama used the occasion of a prayer breakfast, you recall, to drag Christian belief:

During a speech Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Barack Obama leavened his condemnation of the Islamic State’s recent atrocities with a word of warning to his fellow Christians who wish to conflate the militant group’s actions with Islam as a whole.

“Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ,” the president said. “In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”

Murderous extremism, he continued, “is not unique to one group or one religion. There is a tendency in us, a sinful tendency that can pervert and distort our faith.” –BBC

How does all this compare to President Trump’s Prayer Breakfast?

“Freedom of religion is a sacred right, but it is also a right under threat all around us, and the world is under serious, serious threat in so many different ways — and I’ve never seen it so much and so openly since I took the position of president,” President Trump stated at the National Prayer Breakfast on Feb. 2.

…“Jefferson asked: Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed the conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?” Trump said, noting, “Among those freedoms is the right to worship according to our own beliefs.”

“That is why I will get rid of and totally destroy the Johnson Amendment and allow our representatives of faith to speak freely and without fear of retribution.”

He had earlier noted, “Freedom is a gift from God.” –NCR

This is the same Donald Trump who became the first World Leader to stand before the UN and call for religious minorities around the world to be granted the right to conduct their religious worship without fear of retribution from their government or neighbors.

Will the guy whose last stint in the White House included suing Nuns, and trying to overturn religious asylum that had been granted in the court do the same?

Or will he be too busy demonizing Republicans and consolidating political power to do that?
