The person delivering your message is just as important as what you’re saying. Jeep took heat right from the get-go over their choice of spokesman for a ‘unity’ ad. Now they’ve got ANOTHER reason to regret it.

After all the money Jeep sunk into that Superbowl ad, they must be desperately hoping there is truth to that old adage ‘no such thing as negative publicity’.

Because they’re getting plenty of negative publicity.

During Superbowl LV — whose viewership was only around 92 million souls this time around despite featuring Brady’s 7th championship — America saw the annual debut of the most expensive commercials of the year.

Those commercials included a Jeep commercial featuring Bruce Springsteen. The theme of that commercial was ‘unity’, as in the ‘Re-United States Of America’. You see, Orange Man Bad is gone and it’s fashionable to like America again.

The message itself was harmless and ‘feelgood’ enough. Someone non-partisan like Mike Rowe could have delivered it without a hitch. But Jeep made the mistake of choosing Hyper-Partisan Bruce Springsteen to deliver it.

This was Springsteen last October:

On the Halloween and Election Day-themed episode of his radio show, Bruce Springsteen voices his strong opinion about President Trump, saying, “It is time for an exorcism in our nation’s capital.”

Springsteen shared two clips from the newest episode of his SiriusXM radio show, “From My Home To Yours,” on Twitter Wednesday. The episode’s title: “Farewell To The Thief.”

In the intro, Springsteen calls for “an exorcism in our nation’s capital” as spooky Halloween-themed music plays. “In just a few days, we’ll be throwing the bums out,” he says. “I thought it was a f***ing nightmare. But it was true.” — CBS

Here’s Mr. Unity, again, days before the election, with a laundry list of things he hates about the First Family, from a poem he didn’t write.

Not the best celeb Jeep could have picked to bring that unity message, eh?

Now, scant days after the commercial aired, Jeep has discovered a far more serious reason to regret associating his name with their brand. Some moral failings, after all, pose a bigger problem for branding than for others.

Especially when you’re a spokesman for a motor vehicle company. You see where this is going, don’t you? That’s right…

Music icon Bruce Springsteen was arrested for DWI in New Jersey last year, reports revealed days after he appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for Jeep.

Authorities arrested Springsteen, who is due in court in several weeks, on Nov. 14 at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. He was cited for DWI, reckless driving, and consuming alcohol in a closed area, according to TMZ, which first reported the arrest. A spokesperson for the National Parks Service confirmed the arrest to the New York Post. –Conservative Review

Is it too late for Jeep to ask for their money back?

If you’re looking for role models who can really bring a nation together in all the ways Bruce there CAN’T? Get your hands on this slim tome:

Biblical Badasses: The Women

In Doug Giles’ latest book, Biblical Badasses: The Women, Giles spotlights ten epic ladies who did awesome things for God with the odds severely stacked against them. These girls weren’t your typical church ladies. They were holy movers and shakers who upset hell with their God-honoring, faith-filled, lives. Giles’ unique take on these terrific women makes the scripture come alive. This book is real, raw, relevant, and irreverent. Giles’ prayer is that after reading, Biblical Badasses: The Women, not only will your noggin be filled with these amazing tales of high and lows from real women who rocked in a hard place, via the power of God, but that you will get off your butt, quit pursuing stupidity, start chasing down your high calling and at the end of your life, you too, like the holy femme fatales featured herein, will have left a massive scar on Satan’s haggard backside.
