(If sailors are still permitted to curse, that is.)

Get your money for the swear jar. The ‘army of wokeness’ has turned their attention to the job of neutering our navy.

And it’s probably worse than you think.

When you think of the United States Military, much of the world thinks of the most dedicated, dangerous, and lethal foe any nation could possibly face, and the most trusted friend any country could have at that side.

When we think of the Navy, words like the Sailor’s creed come to mind:

I am a United States Sailor.
I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will obey the orders of those appointed over me.
I represent the fighting spirit of the Navy and those who have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world.
I proudly serve my country’s Navy combat team with Honor, Courage and Commitment.
I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all.

As that old song says, ‘the times, they are a-changing’.

The woke-topians have taken it upon themselves to fundamentally transform the entire nation into their own image of how the world ‘ought’ to be. The US armed forces are no exception.

They are making changes to the Navy. Here’s the new TF1N pledge.

As a key member of Task Force One Navy I will invest the time, attention and empathy required to analyze and evaluate Navywide issues related to racism, sexism, ableism and other structural and interpersonal biases.

I pledge to be actively inclusive in the public and private spheres where I live and work, and proactively encourage others to do the same.

I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every Sailor in the Navy.

I pledge to engage in ongoing self-reflection, education and knowledge sharing to better myself and my communities.

I pledge to be an example in establishing healthy, inclusive and team-oriented environments.

I pledge to constructively share all experiences and information gained from activities above to inform the development of Navywide reforms. –TheBlaze

It’s part of a larger narrative of embracing the political assertions of intersectional identarianism and choosing to see the world through that oppressed/oppressor paradigm. It began in late June of 2020 in response to half of America’s cities being put to the flame in response to the actions of an avowedly intersectional Marxist organization — BLM.

This writer thinks it unlikely that a navy prioritizing these issues could have produced the hardy souls whose dominance in the Pacific Theatre of WWII changed the course of history.

Simply put, a military’s objective is to be a trained and lethal fighting force. We fail to see how turning the Navy into a floating therapy clinic achieves that goal.

We were harangued for the last 4 years about how serious a threat certain foreign nations were (Russia, specifically).

With China openly boasting about putting as many new boats in the water every year as France has in its entire Navy, maybe neutering our armed forces is NOT the wisest path forward.
