Joe Biden Has A Funeral To Attend — The First And Second Amendments

When the founding fathers created the Constitution, they outlined the powers and the checks and balances of the powers of the three coequal branches of government. One of the discussions among the founding fathers was that they did not believe that they could constitutionally create a fourth branch of the government to oversee what the equal branches were doing. So, they suggested creating something independent. They believed that by encouraging the news media in the United States to scrutinize the three branches of the government, the people would be represented and told when the elected and appointed branches were going in the wrong direction.

For almost 250 years, this nongovernmental branch was called the Fourth Estate. The Fourth Estate or fourth power refers to the press and news media in the explicit capacity of advocacy and the implicit ability to frame political issues. Though it is not formally recognized as a part of a political system, it has, for most of our almost 250 years, wielded significant indirect social influence for the good of the people.

The original idea of the Fourth Estate was to represent people’s concerns and expose corruption, bad judgment, and self-dealing by elected and appointed officials of the government. For the Fourth Estate to work, it had to separate itself from many government operatives and political parties. It was not supposed to be beholden to politicians, either elected or appointed. It was, in essence, a representative of the people to investigate the activities of all three branches of the government on an unbiased basis and then report to the people of the nation what it had uncovered.

I can’t tell you exactly when that changed, but change it has. The mainstream media and social media have lost their objectivity. There are too many examples to list all of them. Today the mainstream media is the source of created news and doctored the truth. Here are a few examples of doctored truth. Lester Holt, the anchor for the NBC nightly news, said in receiving the Nightly News anchor Edward R. Murrow Award, “Fairness is overrated.” He insists it’s not necessary to, “Always give two sides equal weight and merit.”

Another example, NBC News was embarrassed after Lester Holt apparently was duped by North Korean propaganda while on a ski resort.(Is the following a quote?)“NBC News is reeling after Nightly News anchor Lester Holt appears to have been badly fooled by North Korean propagandists — giving a cheery report from a ski resort in the Hermit Kingdom that looked to be bustling when it was widely known to actually be a ghost town.” I guess Lester didn’t do his homework. Just for Holt’s appearance, the North Korean government appears to have brought in skiers wearing identical outfits and staged the scene, something Holt did not appear to realize. Perhaps it was because he was only reporting one side of the story.

The next example is when CBS news, 60 Minutes, ran a story on Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis receiving $100,000 from Publix supermarkets for selecting them to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Implicating that it was because of DeSantis’ party affiliations. When the whole tape was reviewed, local and state Democratic leaders are seen and heard agreeing with the decision. CBS News has a history of doctoring tapes. Do you remember that Dan Rather was caught doctoring President George W bush service record?

The next example deals with the Right to Life march Washington DC in January 2019. The following News organizations were sued for defamation of character by Nicholas Sandmann, for their reporting of the events on the Mall. These news outlets wrongly communicated what happened on the Mall and did so knowing that they were lying:
The Washington Post
CNN
NBC News
New York Times
The Detroit Free Press
And a host of social media
Some have already settled the lawsuits.

My last example is very recent. Fox News and other networks reported that, “NBC is caught again, this time on Lester Holt’s NBC Nightly news show”. NBC Nightly News is under fire for editing out essential parts of a 911 call before the Ma’Khia Bryant shooting broadcast in Columbus, Ohio.” This is the story that Lebron James reacted to with postings to his social media followers, “You’re Next.” LeBron James has around 51 million followers on Instagram and 43.4 million on Twitter. The social media leaders of Instagram and Twitter have said nothing nor placed either of his accounts on suspension. He has not been held accountable for his actions.

These are just a few of the many examples where mainstream media and social media have purposely lied to the American people to sway opinion for the Democratic Party. We see reports every day of the Democrats misrepresenting or purposely lying to the American people, which is supported by the mainstream media. The issues that are important to the Democratic Party are essential to American News media not because they’re doing their job as the fourth Estate but because they are aligned with the policies and principles of the Democratic Party. That was never the founders’ objective.

This manipulation of the news is not an accident. It is a strategy by the left to destroy the right. People are sitting in newsrooms and broadcast studios and making conscious decisions to manipulate what’s going on. Every time the administration wants to attack what we believe, we are told that if we disagree, we think like racists, we suffer from white privilege, and they have the right to call all us out and condemn us.

So, I believe that Pres. Biden and the progressive left would gladly shovel dirt into the hole so that they can bury the first and second amendment.
