SCHOOLED: Christian Teacher RESIGNS, Refuses To Be A ‘Cog’ In Woke Machine (VIDEO)

This teacher said that the Board’s stated goal was to diminish the role that “white, Christian, able-bodied females” have in schools, so she quit.

On Tuesday, Laura Morris, a Fifth Grade teacher dramatically resigned from her job at a public school board meeting in Loudoun County, Virginia.

In an emotional two-minute address, Morris said that she is fed up with the “highly-politicized agendas” pushed on vulnerable students, and that the board has made it clear that they don’t want teachers like her — white, Christian, and female.

Morris, who has taught at Lucketts Elementary School in Leesburg, Virginia, for five years – half of her career – told the board: ‘I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly-politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents – the children.’

Her voice breaking with emotion, she said she no longer felt able to teach within the district, despite it being affluent and well-resourced.

‘This summer I have struggled with the idea of returning to school, knowing that I’ll be working yet again with a school division that, despite its shiny tech and flashy salary, promotes political ideologies that do not square with who I am as a believer in Christ,’ she said.

Morris said that she was dismayed by the ‘lack of consideration for the growing population of concerned citizens in this division’, pointing out that Tuesday’s meeting was in an empty hall.

She added that she learned in her “equity” training that she’s no longer wanted within the school board because of who she is.

Morris said, “Not only that, but within the last year I was told in our so-called equity trainings that white, Christian, able-bodied females currently have the power in our schools and, quote, ‘this has to change’. Clearly, you have made your point.”

“You no longer value me, or many other teachers you have employed in this county. So since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you. School board, I quit,” said Morris.

She continued while sobbing, “I quit your policies, I quit your training, and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly-politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents – the children. I will find employment elsewhere,” and then, the coup de grâce, “I encourage all parents and staff in this county to flood the private schools.”

(Also, for many, homeschooling is an option… Just sayin’.)

One of the “Ground Zero” spots in the country where parents are pushing back against Critical Race Theory and “wokeness” in education seems to be in Loudoun County, Virginia.

The Loudoun County School Board meetings have made national news as vocal parents have pushed back on what is being shoved down their throats by the Board.

Over the past year, ClashDaily has covered the highly politicized interactions between parents and some teachers against the lurch to the left of the School Board.

It’s been quite ugly.

The Board decided to make some changes following what they called an “unruly” meeting in June where they had the Sheriff come in and call parents protesting Critical Race Theory in the curriculum an “unlawful assembly” and a couple of parents were arrested.

They limited how many people were allowed inside the meeting room because they were going to vote on whether or not transgender students should be able to have access to gendered spaces that align with their gender identity.

Many speakers were there to discuss concerns over a variety of controversial topics such as masks in classrooms, Critical Race Theory, as well as the proposed new transgender policy.

With new security procedures limiting how many members of the public were allowed inside the administration building, those addressing the board during public comment did so from a podium in the back of a mostly-empty meeting room.

While LCPS officials and security guards ushered in groups of 10 speakers at a time, dozens of people were left waiting outside in a driving rain during a thunderstorm until officials allowed them to wait inside a vestibule…

…Despite the new procedures, over 150 parents signed up to speak — both virtually and in-person — about issues ranging from a proposed transgender policy to critical race theory and mask-wearing policy for students and staff.

The board didn’t get to vote on the transgender policy, so they’ve rescheduled that vote until Wednesday evening.

The video of Morris resigning was quickly picked up and shared on Conservative Twitter by some big names.

Laura Morris is indeed a profile in courage, and she’s a believer to boot. What a loss to the public school students in Loudoun County.

We need more “Biblical Badass” women like her.
