Does this mean that the disgraced former New York Governor might actually face the music for his deadly pandemic orders that cost thousands of lives in nursing homes?

Let’s not get our hopes up too high, it is, after all, New York state and Cuomo is a prominent Democrat, disgraced or not.

Still, this is some pretty good news to a certain Fox News meteorologist who lost both of her in-laws in two separate New York nursing homes early in the pandemic because of COVID outbreaks.

As a refresher, Cuomo ordered COVID-positive patients released from hospitals to be returned to nursing homes instead of utilizing the Javits Center or the USNS Comfort despite pleas by families and nursing home staff that he should do so. Both the Navy hospital ship and the convention center converted into an emergency hospital were under-used by the state government.

It’s not like he didn’t know what he was doing was going to be deadly — all of the data from early in the pandemic showed that the elderly were the highest-risk group when it came to COVID. When his nursing home order was enforced, COVID-positive nursing home patients were sent from hospitals with body bags. It was ghoulish.

What was worse was that Cuomo then lied about it and tried to shift the blame to government staffers. He’s just classy like that.

Despite all of that, he was lauded by the Corporate Media, celebrities, and other Democrats, and was even given an Emmy award basically for being the “anti-Trump.”

Now, it seems, he’s finally getting some comeuppance.

So, the former Governor has to hand over the profits from his book on “pandemic leadership” back over to the state of New York.

Is it because he killed thousands of people with his order? Well, no, actually. It’s because he misused state resources and government staffers to write the book.

New York’s ethics watchdog panel ordered disgraced ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo to return the $5.1 million in profits from his pandemic book deal to the state next month.

The extraordinary resolution was approved Tuesday by the Joint Commission on Public Ethics in a 12-1 vote — coming a month after the ethics agency voted to revoke its prior approval allowing Cuomo to earn outside income from his book, “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic” while he was still governor and New York was still battling the deadly viral bug.

JCOPE rescinded its approval after concluding that Cuomo violated pledges not to use state resources or government staffers to prepare the book.

Cuomo was using the pandemic to grift for himself and the state. The state created a gross “commemorate poster” in July 2020 for sale for $14.95 a pop with all sorts of inside jokes that lauded Cuomo.

WTF? Governor Cuomo Announces COVID Commemorative Poster For Sale By New York State

Well, that didn’t age well, did it?

The worst part of the downfall of Andrew Cuomo is that he was taken down for being an absolutely disgusting creep to women — which was perhaps the worst kept secret in New York. Any woman who has a “Slimeball Detector” could have told you that the “Luv Gov” gave off some seriously creepy vibes even over the airwaves.

He really should have been disgraced, humiliated, and ashamed to show his hideous troll-like face in public ever again after keeping in place the disastrous nursing home order and not using the resources he was given.

So, where’s the money going to go? Good question.

The panel found Cuomo’s book proceeds should be turned over to state Attorney General Letitia James — whose office’s investigative report forced the three-term Democrat’s resignation after substantiating a slew of accusations of mistreatment and harassment leveled against the disgraced ex-governor by current and former staffers.

“It is ordered that by no later than 30 days from the date of this resolution, Gov. Cuomo pay over to the attorney general of the State of New York an amount equal to the compensation paid to him for his outside activities related to the book,” the resolution says.

James would determine to whom the profits would be distributed — the state, the book publisher, or others.

Cuomo’s book deal also is being investigated by James, the FBI, and the Brooklyn US Attorney’s Office. The state Assembly Judiciary Committee’s impeachment report found that Cuomo used staffers extensively to help prepare the book — though he insisted the work was done voluntarily and legally.

Cuomo’s attorney Jim McGuire said, “JCOPE’s actions today are unconstitutional, exceed its own authority, and appear to be driven by political interests rather than the facts and the law.”

The ex-governor used state resources and government employees to write his book, and while he was negotiating the contract, he had officials downplay the number of nursing home deaths to get himself a more lucrative deal. That’s vile.

Cry me a river about a “political hit job” after Cuomo signed a bill to allow Congress to get Trump’s NY state tax returns. What goes around, comes around, a-hole.

Perhaps the best place for that money to go would be right to the families that were devastated by Cuomo’s deadly nursing home order.

But then, it’s practically blood money, so perhaps they wouldn’t take it even if it was offered.

Now, what would be great is if Cuomo could actually be held accountable for all of those unnecessary deaths of literally the most vulnerable people while he grifted millions of dollars standing on their graves.

Janice Dean seems to be hopeful that this may actually be the case…

Let’s hope she’s right because that would be fantastic news.
