UH-OH: Search Warrant Out For Baldwin’s Phone Over Fatal On-Set Shooting

If Alec Baldwin was hoping the inquiry into his killing of Halyna Hutchins would quietly melt away, he was sorely mistaken.

The investigation into the fatal shooting on the set of Rust proceeds apace.

And now, the contents of Baldwin’s phone have been deemed by a judge as pertinent to the investigation.

Santa Fe Magistrates court has issued a warrant, requested by the Sheriff’s Department, for the phone to be seized and searched.

Court documents released on Thursday stated: “Affiant is requesting a warrant for the seizure and search of Alec Baldwin’s cell phone to search for any evidence relating to the death investigation of Halyna Hutchins.

“Affiant believes there may be evidence on the phone, due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s).”

“Such information, if it exists, may be material and relevant to this investigation. —DailyMail

Maybe going on TV and admitting he pulled back the hammer while looking to blame someone else wasn’t the smartest decision he’s ever made in his life.
