Did the botox get into her brain?!

On the day that we remember Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his movement for equality, the Democrats are shamelessly pushing their unconstitutional bill to grab oversight of elections from the states and hand it over to the federal government, and they’re invoking the late Civil Rights leader’s name to do it.

The Constitution clearly states that the way that elections are conducted is the purview of the states and not the federal government.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made several unfounded claims that pulling back on the lax rules that were put in place during the pandemic would “suppress the vote”, “nullify the election”, and would be a “threat to our democracy.”

She said that all of the Democrats in both the House and the Senate agree on the legislation and it’s only the filibuster that is “in the way.”

It was positively shameless and absolutely disgusting — even for Pelosi.

Speaker Pelosi was pushing for the passage of HR1 and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, two bills which would dramatically reshape voting in the United States.

Business Insider reports that some of the provisions include:

  • Online, automatic, and same-day voter registration.
  • A minimum of 15 days of early voting, including during at least two weekends.
  • No-excuse mail voting with ample access to ballot drop boxes and online ballot tracking, in addition to streamlined election mail delivery by the US Postal Service.
  • States would need to accept a wide range of forms of non-photographic identification in places where ID is required to vote.
  • Counting eligible votes on provisional ballots cast in the wrong precinct.
  • Restoring voting rights to formerly incarcerated people convicted of felonies.
  • Imposes stricter regulations on voter list maintenance that make it harder for states to remove eligible voters from the rolls.
  • The bill also includes the Right to Vote Act, which creates an affirmative right to vote in federal law.

Speaking specifically about the John Lewis VRAA, Pelosi invoked MLK, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. She said, “If you really, truly want to honor Dr. King, don’t dishonor him by using a Congressional custom as an excuse for protecting our democracy.”

She added that Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson had “tears in their eyes” for the “departure from our democracy that is happening right now — unless the truth is acknowledged and this legislation is passed.”

Don’t you love when Democrats praise Abraham Lincoln as though he was a member of their party?

This comes after an angry President Joe Biden pushed for the elimination of the filibuster last week to perhaps get at least one agenda win in his first year in office.

In the same speech, he blasted anyone who is opposed to the Democrats’ voting legislation on the wrong side of history and lumped them in with segregationists and racists.

Mayor Muriel Bowser also spread her share of disinformation about the alleged “700,000 disenfranchised D.C. voters” and pushed for adding two Senators for D.C.

This was followed by MoveOn.org’s Executive Director who said that if you don’t eliminate the filibuster, and pass laws that are only backed by Democrats, then the big, bad Republicans led by Donald Trump will continue to “undermine democracy.”

So wait… the Democrats are calling for the elimination of the Senate filibuster in order to push through an unconstitutional change in elections, the Mayor of D.C. wants to add two Senators, and there’s talk of eliminating the Electoral College as well as packing the Supreme Court, and it’s somehow the Republicans that are a threat to the “sacred institutions”?

Give me a freaking break!

One Republican lawmaker, who grew up in the Jim Crow South and didn’t interact with white Americans until he was 16, takes exception with the Democrats’ alleged “voting rights” legislation.

Burgess Owens has called the provisions in the bills “demeaning” to the black community.

Owens took issue with Democrats’ voting rights legislation that, among other provisions, would water down voter ID requirements that states have passed. The freshman lawmaker said Democrats’ assumption that ID requirements would especially hurt Black communities is disrespectful.

“Black Americans, just like Italian Americans or Polish Americans, all we want is fairness,” Owens told Fox News Digital. “We want to know that our vote counts. To say that we’re the only race of the whole country… that if we have to get an ID that we cannot pull it off – I cannot articulate how demeaning that thought process is.

“Sadly we have too many Black people that go along with it,” Owens continued. “They’d rather have power for themselves than to empower our race.”

Last week, Burgess Owens tore into the Dems for calling GOP state laws to tighten up elections “Jim Crow 2.0”.

ClashDaily covered that here:

But it’s so good, here’s the video one more time:

In two minutes, Rep. Owens explains just how insulting and shameful it is to push these changes, but Democrats are still doing it.

It’s because they’re shameless and have low expectations for black Americans. It’s really sad that more black Americans don’t seem to see it.

Let’s pray that God opens their eyes to the truth.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
