WHOOPS: Disney Called Out For Fixing Wrong ‘Problem’ In Snow White

Disney is working very hard to lead the charge on retrofitting classic stories to prove their ‘woke’ bona fides. But they’ve clearly forgotten Winston Churchill’s wise words about appeasers.

The shortened, popularized version says, ‘an appeaser is one who feeds the crocodile, hoping it will eat him last’.

Disney, whose execs don’t lose a minute of sleep working hand-in-glove while appeasing a genocidal authoritarian tyrant in China, has just stepped on a landmine for trying to ‘reimagine’ Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.

They have made a Corporate decision to move away from white Disney Princesses, and that includes a re-casting of the lead character of Snow White, the first feature-length movie, and literally the story on which their empire was built.

They are now re-casting Snow White with a Latina actress in the title role. They are getting heaps of praise for being woke in doing so — despite the obvious awkward detail of the title character’s name coming from her… complexion.

But in ‘fixing’ that problem, they are being called out as insensitive for a whole different reason. You remember the other part of the movie’s name, right?

Peter Dinklage sure does. And he blasted them for it.

“I was a little taken aback by [the fact] they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White,” Dinklage told podcaster Marc Maron, “but you’re still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.

Dinklage, who has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, continued by saying Disney should have stepped back and reassessed the project.

“You’re progressive in one way but you’re still making that fucking backward story of seven dwarves living in the cave. What the fuck are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.

“They were so proud of that, and all love and respect to the actress and the people who thought they were doing the right thing but I’m just like, ‘What are you doing?’” —Guardian

Snow White is a fairy tale. It’s a genre with magic and mythical creatures, like fairies, dragons, elves, pixies, orcs, gnomes, hobbits, and … yes … dwarfs.

For anyone who is actually literate and who ‘took a step back’, any connection between the diagnosis of dwarfism and fairy tale dwarfs is entirely coincidental. Lord Of The Rings used camera tricks to accomplish the same effect with actors of ordinary height.

Disney heard Dinklage’s barrage and promptly bowed the knee.

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, a spokesperson for Disney said “to avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community.”

The spokesperson said more will be shared “as the film heads into production after a lengthy development period.” CBS News has also reached out to Disney for comment and is awaiting response. — CBS

Whatever will they do if the Wiccans get offended?

So let me get this straight… they are filming a remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, except that Snow White isn’t white, and the dwarfs aren’t dwarfs.

Here’s an idea… if you don’t like the old movie, instead of taking a sledgehammer to the original script, how about you write an ORIGINAL movie.

There’s a reason for that. Wokeism is parasitic and preachy in nature, and they aren’t good at new stories. It’s far easier — and more culturally subversive — to mow down the old ones.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
