Just a few days ago, Trudeau’s Transporation Minister, MP Omar Alghabra said that removing mandates like what has been done in many other countries that have lower vaccination rates than Canada has is “quite unreasonable.”
Alghabra says removing mandates, as Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, and Switzerland have done, is “quite unreasonable.”

This is the standard line from the Trudeau government.
On Monday, February 7, the Canadian House of Commons held an emergency debate on the Freedom Convoy and other protests opposing COVID-19 mandates in Canada.
Conservative MP Raquel Dancho from Kildonan—St. Paul, Manitoba stood up and gave a helluva speech about the COVID response in Canada.
She came from a small, farming community and then went to the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. It has shaped how she sees Canadians and their various perspectives. MP Dancho says that she wants to be a “bridge-builder” and has been frustrated with the divisiveness that has been pushed by the Prime Minister of Canada over COVID vaccines and other mandates imposed on Canadians in response to the pandemic.
She mentions the trauma and frustration that many Canadians have suffered over the past two years due to the government’s response to the pandemic.
- children suffering from depression and eating disorders
- the elderly in nursing homes choosing assisted suicide rather than another lockdown
- the isolation felt by the elderly
- businesses closing for good
- the rise in drug and alcohol dependency
- families divided if they don’t share the same views on the pandemic
She says that Canadian politicians have ignored the Canadian people for two years.
The Prime Minister flipped from saying that the vaccines would be “available to everyone who wants one” to the unvaccinated “don’t have the right” to sit on a plane or train next to someone who has chosen to “do the right thing and be vaccinated.” It’s very divisive.
It was this moment that was incredible — she calls for a deadline on an end to the mandates and a Liberal minister laughs at her statement, so she calls him out on it.

Canada has one of the highest vaccination rates in the entire world and there is no off-ramp because some of these elite politicians are completely wasted on power and are probably making money hand-over-fist in investments that benefit them with continued lockdowns.
They don’t care because these lockdowns, restrictions, and mandates don’t cost them anything. They’re still getting paid and traveling all over creation, and they violate the rules because they can.
It’s not hypocrisy, it’s hierarchy — the “rules for thee, but not for me” kind of stuff.
It looks like some of MP Dancho’s colleagues on the other side of the aisle have heard her.
Lightbound gave a lengthy statement saying that too many people are stigmatized & isolated by the actions of various governments.
