The Transportation Secretary seems to be channeling the same energy as Marie Antoinette with that famous quote attributed to her — “Let them eat cake!”
While there are some questions if Marie Antoinette actually suggested that the starving, rioting French citizens should munch on brioche since there was no bread, there is no question about the priorities of the Biden-Harris administration — they don’t give a crap about the suffering they’re causing.
Alfred E. Newman Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said on Monday that people shouldn’t be worried about the sharp rise in the cost of gas — which, by the way, will continue fuel inflation — because the Biden-Harris administration has “invested” in electric vehicle charging stations.
Pete Buttigieg: Upset with near-record gas prices? Too bad. Buy an electric vehicle.

That’s the same energy as this:
Preachy Pete probably thinks that homeless people should just buy a house and stop being homeless.
Geez, Pete! Tell me you’re out of touch with the average American without telling me that you’re out of touch with average Americans.
These elites don’t have a freaking clue what life is like for someone who isn’t a Washington Swamp Creature. They figure that you can just drop $40,000 to $60,000 on a new electric vehicle because gas has gone up around $2/gallon since Biden took office just one year ago.
A new Tesla might be nice, but not everyone can afford one like AOC can.

And what are you supposed to do with the car that you’re still paying off?
For a party that claims to be concerned about the plight of the poor, they sure don’t seem to give a second thought about the people living paycheck-to-paycheck while struggling to make ends meet, or those on fixed incomes.
Surely that senior who uses their car 2 to 3 times a week for groceries, medical appointments, and church are fine to eat the cost of gas doubling, right?
If not, then they can just drop $50k on a new electric car, right? It’s not like inflation is eating through their retirement savings or anything. Surely, seniors on fixed incomes have tons of cash to spare… right?
Dear Lord, these people are clueless!
Vice President Kamala Harris was pushing E.V.s in her own weird, cackling way.
.@VP: “Imagine all the heavy-duty vehicles that keep our supply lines strong and allow our economy to grow. Imagine that they produced zero emissions. Well, you all imagined it. […] I am proud to announce that our administration is taking steps to build that better future.” pic.twitter.com/blEmiEOiI8

So, geniuses, where does all the electricity to power these magical electric vehicles come from? Faith? Clapping while chanting, “I do believe in green energy!”? Obama’s “hope and change”? Unicorn farts?
The class divide is quite apparent in this decision to push for electric vehicles.
Ian Haworth of the Daily Wire made a couple of interesting observations.
The average electric vehicle costs $56,437.
The median annual income in the United States is $44,225.
Pete Buttigieg earned $800k to $1.8 million from January 2019 to December 2020. https://t.co/SGktKn130v

So, why are they willing to make you suffer — besides the fact that they don’t give you a second thought?
Because they’re climate zealots who are committed to “net zero” no matter how many people suffer because of it. It’s religious fervor, not reason.

All of this could end with Biden reversing his asinine energy policies, but he’s not going to do that.
The suffering the “green energy” policies create is the point.
Look who is the “Climate Envoy” for the Biden-Harris administration — John freaking Kerry!
The guy with several yachts, multiple luxury homes — including a $12 million waterfront home in Martha’s Vineyard — and a penchant for private jet travel.
They can continue to absorb the rising costs, but you can’t do that indefinitely.
Not all that long ago, an orange-tinged man had warned about this sort of thing…

He was right, but he had mean tweets, so he couldn’t be President anymore.
We live in a stupid, stupid world that is now run by stupid, stupid people who not only don’t understand you, they overtly dislike you because you disagree with their policies that are actively making your life difficult.
Check out Doug’s latest book, The Art of Joe: The Political Brilliance of President Biden. If you have left-leaning family members, workmates, or classmates, to buy several copies and place them in common areas. Make sure you have your video camera ready for when they pick it up and thumb through it because they will be triggered which will make for a great viral video to share across social media. Also, buy a couple for the GOP NeverTrumpers that you know. Finally, both the book’s cover and the epilogue, Notable Quotable Joe are worth the price of admission. We’ve included before and after Biden on Afghanistan. Jen Psaki will no likey this book, but you will. BTW, the book is 95% bereft of any content. Just like Biden’s head.
