DeSantis Drops Clarence Thomas Truth Bomb … Shatters Liberal Talking Points

What Dems WANT you to believe is that every Republican is deeply racist, and that is why we don’t like Biden’s latest nominee… but DeSantis’s wonderful tribute to Desantis exposed their lie for what it was.

Let’s start with that brief statement and unpack it from there.

Most of us on the right agree with this statement.

Clarence Thomas came from extremely modest beginnings, spent some time in his youth as a disgruntled hard-left political activist… and then shifted his ideas as they became challenged with the realities of his life.

He became a man respected for his deep understanding of and respect for the Constitution, with a practice of measuring his decisions on what it does say rather than what he thinks it ought to say.

Interestingly, when she was clerking for Justice Breyer all those years ago, the current nominee had a meeting with Thomas, and said this about it:

More than two decades before becoming a top contender to be President Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, a young Ketanji Brown Jackson sat across from Justice Clarence Thomas, reportedly perplexed by how someone of his background — not so different from her own — could have developed such a conservative bent.

“I don’t understand you,'” Jackson, who clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer from 1999 to 2000, remembered thinking, according to a 2007 biography of Thomas, “Supreme Discomfort: The Divided Soul of Clarence Thomas.”

“‘You sound like my parents. You sound like the people I grew up with.’ But the lessons he tended to draw from the experiences of the segregated South seemed to be different than those of everybody I know,” the book, by authors Kevin Merida and Michael Fletcher, said Jackson thought as she and Thomas shared lunch. —ABC

Why do so many of us on the right think she’s an explicitly political animal? Because she herself admitted that ‘all the people she knows’ share a view that conflicts with that of Justice Clarence Thomas.

A quick look at social media shows legions of people who think just like that or worse, who echo that Biden gaffe (?) about people voting for Trump not being black. Here’s a succinct placeholder for countless others:

Living in any such bubble changes a person. Living in the DC swamp? Even more so.

The left, and their media flunkies, have been working overtime to make Biden’s SCOTUS nominee out to be the best thing since sliced bread, and anyone who dares contradict that narrative must obviously have some sinister unspoken motive.

It couldn’t have anything to do with her looking and acting a lot like an activist judge, could it? This nominee, chosen in the way she was chosen, with some big decisions on the horizon will be in a position to make some important rulings.

Joe himself stated she was explicitly chosen, for instance, because of her race and gender. Can she still rule objectively when University race-discrimination and gender quota questions come before her?

She was chosen because she is a woman, but (strangely) cannot define a woman. It’s a matter of time before questions that could radically alter our understanding of the role of gender in law come before her. How will she determine which gender-specific laws apply to whom? In athletics, this question is already a pressing issue.

Her predecessor as well as RBG were explicit in denouncing court-packing as a politicization of the court. She refuses to affirm this. Is it because she wants to see the court politicized?

This dynamic is exactly like every other talking point where Dems look for a way to move attention away from the weaknesses of their argument, policy, candidate, or nominee and look for ways to demonize the Right, instead.

Kids in cages is an easy example. The left demanded unfettered immigration (related story here) and hated the wall Trump was building, precisely because it was effective at limiting unlawful cross-border movement of both persons and property.

Another example is the ‘don’t say gay’ kerfuffle about a bill that never once makes that obligation, but instead was preventing the introduction of adult content to kids in the earliest grades in school.

But here’s the problem for the left: you can’t have it both ways.

Either the right is filled with racial bigots who oppose Biden’s nominee for no reason other than her race, or they are not. But the second they claim that the right is motivated by racism, their own past behavior is subject to the same scrutiny.

That includes the two times Biden filibustered Republican female black nominees or the time before that where Schumer changed the filibuster rules so that Dubya’s nominee of Miguel Estrada would not advance.

If our treatment of their nominees is racial bigotry, what about the contempt they have for our nominees — or worse — for a sitting member of SCOTUS who survived what he himself described as a ‘high-tech lynching’ in his nomination process. In fact, let’s give the full quote:

This is not a closed room. There was an FBI investigation. This is not an opportunity to talk about difficult matters privately or in a closed environment. This is a circus. It’s a national disgrace.

And from my standpoint as a black American, as far as I’m concerned, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you. You will be lynched, destroyed, caricatured by a committee of the U.S. — U.S. Senate, rather than hung from a tree. — CNSNews

None other than Joe ‘you’re not black’ Biden ran that circus back then.

And now? His apologists in the media still keep the circus going.

Because he STILL has different ideas and STILL refuses to kowtow to an old order.

Incidentally — that is PRECISELY what we admire about him.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
