When life’s hitting you with the blunt end of the pool cue, where do you go for the strength you need to carry through it? When others would despair, do you have a source of hope?
You should. You’ll need it in those moments in life when things go sideways on you.
Most happy-clappy pastors won’t even admit that the tough times are really a part of life. Some of them make it worse by saying that you’re only going through tough times because you don’t have enough faith.
That’s weird. Even Jesus himself promised we will have ‘trouble’. Not just any kind of trouble either. Scripture promised we’d face the kind that will shake us loose from anything we’re holding onto that can’t bear our weight.
Does that we’re all screwed? No, it means we need to be anchored in something better than pretty platitudes.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
