Kinda strange how the party opposed to election security keeps getting caught up in election corruption scandals, isn’t it?

You might almost be tempted to draw some kind of a connection there.

In this instance, a 79yo Democrat has ped guilty to a variety of election corruption crimes.

A former Democratic congressman from Philadelphia pleaded guilty Monday to fraudulently stuffing ballot boxes for Democratic candidates and allegedly bribing judges across multiple elections.

Former Democratic U.S. Rep. Michael J. ‘Ozzie’ Myers pleaded guilty to conspiracy to deprive voters of civil rights, bribery, obstruction of justice, falsification of voting records, and conspiring to illegally vote in a federal election.

Myers, 79, admitted that he bribed a judge of elections – who is in charge of the polling place – to add votes for his chosen candidates, including clients who were running for judicial offices. The bribes were hundreds or thousands of dollars, prosecutors said.

Myers also orchestrated schemes to fraudulently stuff ballot boxes for Democratic candidates in Pennsylvania elections between 2014 and 2018. … —DailyMail

He had an elaborate strategy worked out with former Judge of Elections in South Philadelphia, Marie Beren, who has also confessed to election fraud. The source article goes into some detail about the racket they were running.

Obviously, this 2014-2018 time frame stops short of the 2020 election cycle, but it does show that the electoral system was nowhere near as safe and incorruptible as we have been assured it was.

That’s the ‘news’ part of this story.

Here’s the ‘analysis’ part.

While Meyers was not implicated in changing anything in 2020, this admission of fraud has demonstrated that there really were ways in which election results could be illicitly manipulated. These electoral weaknesses were not merely hypothetical, either.

It may well be true that this guy never manipulated a single illicit vote in 2020, but changes made in the name of the Pandemic during that election cycle created more opportunities for bypassing safeguards, not fewer.

This just happens to be one of the battleground states whose changes to election procedure were being challenged as unconstitutional, because they had not gone through the required steps.

It just so happens that when Stop the Steal activists were calling for some states’ results to be challenged in Jan 6, this is exactly the sort of irregularity they were raising concerns about. Regardless of what the media (and other Democrat sympathizers) might insist was the objective here, the Framers DID create a failsafe in which results could be decided when the Electoral College was inconclusive. The appeal was to invoke that constitutional failsafe because several battleground states results (including Pennsylvania) had been shrouded in controversy.

Dems are welcome to explain their logic, but it’s kinda hard to incite an ‘insurrection’ if what you are really calling for is the application of Constitutional procedure.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
