Has the Biden (or whoever it is that’s running things) thought of just doing the job better? That would generate better headlines with the Regime Media — after all, he is their guy.
It’s not like the Democrat-loving outlets aren’t itching to give him fawning coverage.
The problem is that he’s still Joe Biden — a Shambling Husk of Mediocrity and serial liar who won an election because he was hiding in his basement for months.
The fact that the guy that received “the most votes in U.S. history” is bitching to aides about his sinking approval ratings amid what an NBC News report calls “a rolling series of calamities” is quite telling. Biden was largely a protest vote. That means that the situation is very, very bad for Democrats.
The midterms are looking pretty grim for Democrats in House, Senate, and even gubernatorial races.
LET’S GO, BRANDON! New Polling Shows Dems In Deep Trouble For Midterms — Even In Biden Strongholds
Earlier this week, the White House decided to try a new proactive strategy to try to garner some positive headlines.
As WaPo reports, the White House is trying to “contain the political damage caused by inflation after President Biden complained for weeks to aides that his administration was not doing enough to publicly explain the fastest price increases in roughly four decades.”
It began on Monday with an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal with the byline “Joseph R. Biden” that laid out the President’s “plan” to deal with inflation.
Politico reports that the administration is going to be flooding the airwaves with how great the economy is despite what you see at the grocery store and gas pump.
Here’s a list of the people that will be telling you,”Don’t believe your lyin’ eyes”:
We’re told that the White House is enlisting Cabinet officials and top Biden allies to carry the message on television all week, including Treasury Secretary JANET YELLEN and deputy WALLY ADEYEMO, Commerce Secretary GINA RAIMONDO, NEC Director BRIAN DEESE, Council of Economic Advisers Chair CECILIA ROUSE, as well as GENE SPERLING, JARED BERNSTEIN, HEATHER BOUSHEY and MITCH LANDRIEU. The administration is planning to have its top surrogates travel and host events throughout the country to carry its message into local media markets.

Even Politico seems skeptical that this new tactic will work to change voters’ perception of the administration. They call the President’s touting of his accomplishments “tone deaf” and a “hard sell” as Americans deal with the rising costs hitting them in the pocketbook daily.
Politico also says that what Biden laid out in the WSJ op-ed isn’t really a “plan” when “a close read shows that he actually seems to be pushing the burden off on others” like the Federal Reserve and Congress.
On Tuesday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen appeared on CNN and admitted that she was wrong on the inflation messaging when the entire administration was downplaying it.
CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "Was it a mistake, Madame Secretary, to downplay this inflation risk? Did that contribute to the problems we're all seeing right now?"

Unfortunately, the administration wasn’t willing to admit that it was ever wrong about anything as they continue to point to everyone but themselves for the causes of inflation.
Oopsies.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was grilled about the administration’s response to inflation on Wednesday, and it was a bit of a crapshow.
First up, the man himself, Fox News White House correspondent, Peter Doocy:
Doocy: "When are you guys going to admit that you were wrong about inflation?"
Jean-Pierre: "No easy questions today, huh?
Doocy: "The Treasury secretary says that she was wrong, so why isn't anybody here at the White House —" pic.twitter.com/NdVYi3HYpz

Doocy then asked Jean-Pierre why the White House line is different from what Yellen said on Tuesday.

She relies so heavily on her notes and still can’t manage to advance a convincing message.
Another reporter picked up on Doocy’s questions about Yellen and the previous White House messaging on inflation and asked Jean-Pierre for further clarification.

Philip Wegmann the White House correspondent for Real Clear News asked if the President has any new ideas other than retreading the old ones he wrote about in the WSJ article.
.@PhilipWegmann: Biden "reiterated that he supports the independence of the Federal Reserve…called on Congress to pass tax credits, & he also called…for changes to the tax code…Correct me if I'm wrong, but these proposals aren't exactly new…Does he having anything else?" pic.twitter.com/xaMhRHk9xK

As the White House tries to gaslight on their inflation messaging, remember what the admin was saying until 5 minutes ago.
The Biden administration has finally said they “got it wrong” on inflation.

It seems that the shifting message of inflation was a bad idea.
Even ABC’s Jonathan Karl admits that inflation began pretty much when Biden took office.

Why was that? Well, Guy Benson lays it out in less than a minute.

Succinct and accurate.
No matter how much the administration wants to change the channel on this, it doesn’t look like it’s going to work.

This is what you get when you elect a Shambling Husk of Mediocrity as President and he brings in the Obama B-team to run the joint.
Way to go, Joe!
Check out Doug’s latest book, The Art of Joe: The Political Brilliance of President Biden. If you have left-leaning family members, workmates, or classmates, to buy several copies and place them in common areas. Make sure you have your video camera ready for when they pick it up and thumb through it because they will be triggered which will make for a great viral video to share across social media. Also, buy a couple for the GOP NeverTrumpers that you know. Finally, both the book’s cover and the epilogue, Notable Quotable Joe are worth the price of admission. We’ve included before and after Biden on Afghanistan. Jen Psaki will no likey this book, but you will. BTW, the book is 95% bereft of any content. Just like Biden’s head.
