Young healthy people whose risk factors were eminently low had their lives thrown into chaos to ‘protect’ them. At the very same time, these same experts were mingling infected people in with our frail and elderly.

Not all of the experts called for jackboot authoritarian measures. Some offered a more measured response, protecting the most vulnerable high-risk people while the rest of us carried on with our lives.

The one reply the left could always count on any time Silicon Valley threw its weight around was Private Companies can silence private citizens’ speech because they, too, are protected by the First Amendment.

That’s true… but there’s a catch.

There is one instance in which the First Amendment protections Big Tech hides behind in their censorship campaigns falls apart. It is never permissible to silence citizens on the behalf of any Government official.

Now it looks like Twitter received direct instructions from the White House to deplatform dissenting voice Alex Berenson, in a story Berenson relates on his own substack, ‘Unreported Truths’.

Remember, as you read this, that we are talking about the same Biden Administration that tried to appoint a disinformation Czar.

In my case, though, federal officials appear to have gone far beyond generically encouraging Twitter to support Covid vaccines or discourage “misinformation” (i.e. information that the government does not like).

Instead, top officials targeted me personally.

Andrew Slavitt, senior advisor to President Biden’s Covid response team, complained specifically about me, according to a Twitter employee in another Slack conversation discussing the White House meeting.

“They really wanted to know about Alex Berenson,” the employee wrote. “Andy Slavitt suggested they had seen data viz [visualization] that had showed he was the epicenter of disinfo that radiated outwards to the persuadable public.”

According to an interview he gave to the Washington Post in June 2021, Slavitt worked directly with the most powerful officials in the federal government, including Ron Klain, President Biden’s chief of staff, and Biden himself.

The Slack conversations also show the pressure Twitter employees felt internally to respond to the government’s questions about whether the company was doing enough to suppress “misinformation” about Covid and the vaccines. An employee writes that the questions at the meeting were “pointed” but “mercifully, we had answers.”

Biden’s Malarky tour pledged to take us back to a time before Trump.

He failed to mention he was trying to take us back to life under a King.
