EPIC FAIL: Californians Asked NOT To Plug In EV Cars Just DAYS After Big Electric Car Announcement

When you can’t fill your electric car’s battery, you don’t have a car in your driveway, you have a sculpture.

That was the harsh reality some Californians who thought they were doing all the right things woke up to this week.

It was a turnaround that must have given them whiplash.

One minute, they were smugly cheering that their uncooperative neighbors who don’t want to give up their gas guzzlers would be dragged kicking and screaming into the Brave New World the green movement promised there would be no new gas-powered cars as of 2035.

The next minute their government was asking them to NOT plug in their battery-powered toys.

It turns out there is this thing called a power grid. And when too many people plug in their cars at night, that puts a strain on the electricity that is being produced.

The California Independent System Operator (ISO) has called for residents across the state to ‘reduce’ energy usage between 4 and 9pm ‘when the system is the most stressed because demand for electricity remains high.’
Starting on Wednesday and running until Tuesday, residents are being asked to not charge their electric vehicles between those hours, set their thermostats at 78 degrees or higher, avoid using large appliances, and turn off unnecessary lights.
‘Lowering electricity use during that time will ease [the] strain on the system, and prevent more drastic measures, including rotating power outages,’ the bulletin said.
California has officially become the first in the world to enforce a ban on the sale of new gasoline cars by 2035, following a public hearing on Thursday that ended with the California Air Resources Board voting to approve the policy.

Hold on, what’s this about ‘avoid using large appliances’…?

Between 4pm and 9pm, it says. Large appliances, it says. Like the ones you would use to cook supper, maybe?

And if you think there’s a lot of strain on the power grid NOW, just wait until all of California’s 30 Million+ cars have been electrified.

Don’t think for a moment that charging that battery will stay cheaper than filling a tank for long. Just look at how Europe’s energy prices have been skyrocketing this year… including electricity prices. European citizens are busy buying up wood and coal so they’ll have some way to stay warm in the winter, for Pete’s sake!

When demand rises faster than supply, it’s the poor that will feel the weight of this the most. This is not a mistake. It is exactly what the endgame of the leftist de-growth movement has been all along.

When AOC’s Chief-of-Staff said the Green New Deal was REALLY about changing the economy, not the enviroment, this is exactly the kind of thing he meant.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
