Before one can live by the courage of one’s convictions, one must first have some actual convictions.

It’s a hard lesson being learned right now by anyone who had mistakenly put any confidence in AOC and her not-so-merry rag-tag band of Democrats.

Sandy Cortez was one of thirty or so Democrats who had penned a letter to Joe Biden, calling for us to attempt brokering negotiations between Zelensky and Putin.

She had to do something. She was getting all sorts of negative press as everyone from Tucker Carlson on the Right to people in her own townall meetings on the left called her out as a pro-war sellout who was leading us all blindly into a nuclear armageddon.

The one criticism AOC’s brand can LEAST afford to be tagged with is the title of ‘sellout’, so she attached her name to a letter calling for Biden to broker peace in Ukraine. It said:

We agree with the Administration’s perspective that it is not America’s place to pressureUkraine’s government regarding sovereign decisions, and with the principle you have enunciated that there should be “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” But as legislators responsible for the expenditure of tens of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars in military assistance in the conflict, we believe such involvement in this war also creates a responsibility for the United States to
seriously explore all possible avenues, including direct engagement with Russia, to reduce harm and support Ukraine in achieving a peaceful settlement.
In May, President Zelensky, despite deadlocked negotiations, reiterated that the war “will only definitively end through diplomacy,” and had previously explained that “any mentally healthy person always chooses the diplomatic path, because he or she knows: even if it is difficult, it can prevent the loss of thousands, tens of thousands…and maybe even millions of lives.”
In conclusion, we urge you to make vigorous diplomatic efforts in support of a negotiated settlement and ceasefire, engage in direct talks with Russia, explore prospects for a new European security arrangement acceptable to all parties that will allow for a sovereign and independent Ukraine, and, in coordination with our Ukrainian partners, seek a rapid end to the conflict and reiterate this goal as America’s chief priority.

Somebody got dragged to a back room to get a mud hole stomped in them because before you can say ‘sellout’, the letter had been retracted.

Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus Rep. Pramila Jayapal on Tuesday withdrew a letter sent to President Biden this week urging him to secure a peace deal in Ukraine.
Jayapal said the letter in question was drafted months ago and was not properly vetted before its distribution by a staff member Monday.
The chairwoman said that while she accepts responsibility for the letter’s distribution, she wanted to make clear it does not mean Democrats support pulling the plug on aid to Ukraine.

Let’s be honest. There are plenty of mistakes done in DC, but absolutely no coincidences. This wasn’t leaked accidentally, months after the fact. There was a difference in opinion, someone pulled rank, and this was shot down.

Odds are, Nancy was out there knocking some heads with that gavel of hers.

What happened to AOC’s bold stand? She came to Washington promising that she cared more about getting results than if she was a one-term politician, right?

It doesn’t take long for swamp critters to adapt to their new environment… even if they do have bright red lipstick and an internet following.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
