Does this look and sound “family-friendly” to you?
The Blaze’s Sara Gonzalez posted a video on Twitter of a recent “all ages” drag brunch in Plano, Texas and it was pretty clear that this wasn’t a show that was appropriate for children.
The video shows a drag queen dressed in a black dress wearing a headband with cat ears dancing while lipsyncing to a song with the lyrics, “My p*ssy good, p*ssy sweet..P*ssy good enough to eat…f*ck me all night” while a child watches in the background. At one point, the “performer” lifts up the front of his skirt to show his underwear while gyrating his hips.

This event was held at the restaurant/bar Ebb & Flow in Shops at Legacy.

City Journal’s Chris Rufo was mocked by John Oliver recently for saying that conservatives should call drag queens “trans strippers” to highlight how these adult performances are hypersexualized and not appropriate for kids.
The thing is… Rufo is right. Drag shows are by their very nature sexualized performances and are meant for adults.
We’ve seen that with the itty-bitty costumes, prosthetic female body parts, sexualized dance moves, and seemingly-ubiquitous leg-spreading in so-called “family-friendly” drag performances. They’re basically gay versions of burlesque which is not exactly the type of entertainment that should be targeted at minors.
It’s actually really, really weird that they’re trying to expand the target audience of drag shows to include children.
Speaking of Rufo and John Oliver, Rufo posted the clip of Oliver’s critique in a helpful thread.
Thank you, @iamjohnoliver, for highlighting my work. I always publicly announce my plan in advance, so these "gotcha" segments at the end are a nice confirmation that it worked. We are winning on CRT and radical gender theory—and there's nothing you can do to stop us. pic.twitter.com/MUZsy7b0c3

The most liberating thing you can do as a conservative is to stop caring about the approval of people who hate you. I've learned to see these media fights as accelerants to my campaigns, rather than personal judgements on me. They do not matter in my day-to-day life at all.

Conservatives must have the confidence that we are in the right: against racialist abuse; against radical gender surgeries for minors. Let the pundits and NPCs like John Oliver mindlessly defend whatever passes as elite wisdom. They will be judged harshly later.

The Left hates Rufo because he’s taking a page out of their playbook and getting the Right to frame the narrative.
The Left does this with every issue from the border to abortion to taxation, and they’re not afraid of completely redefining words to mean what they don’t mean in order to shift the narrative in their favor.
We saw this with two pro-abortion stories today:
- Nutty Boston Globe Contributor Says That She Had Her First ‘Abortion’ At Age 11 … But Has Never Been Pregnant
- CLASH POLL: Did Rep. Eric Swalwell’s Campaign Make The WORST Political Ad Of All Time?
The Left knows that they have to manipulate reality in order to win.
Rufo isn’t doing that — he’s shattering their narratives while holding up a mirror to them and they hate it.
God Bless Chris Rufo!
