CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota was clearly stunned as she realized the network’s entire narrative around the tragic mass shooting had just crumbled.
ClashDaily reported that the public defenders for Anderson Lee Aldrich, the 22-year-old suspect in the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs, said in court documents that their client identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

This news broke on Tuesday evening, and CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota, who was on-air at the time reported the new details to both CNN viewers and the poor, unfortunate souls stuck waiting for their connecting flight.
Camerota is reading the prompter, but you can tell that she isn’t buying the claim — she has a weird smirk as she pauses.
“So, attorneys for the accused shooter, Anderson Lee Aldrich, say in new court filings tonight that the suspect now identifies as non-binary. In a footnote to a motion, asserting legal privileges, the public defenders say, quote, ‘Anderson Aldrich is non-binary. They use they/them pronouns. And for the purposes of all formal filings will be addressed as Mx. Aldrich. So in other words, not Mr. or Ms.’,” said Camerota.
You can tell she doesn’t believe it because she immediately “misgenders” Aldrich after introducing the panel of commentators.
“Joining me now, CNN political commentator Errol Lewis, also back with me Al Franken and Joe Walsh. I don’t know what to say about that,” begins Camerota. “I mean that’s not anything that we had heard from his background. People had been looking into his background, and I don’t know if anybody here — are you guys lawyers? I mean, you know, I don’t know what to say about that. That’s what he’s now saying.”
Camerota fumbles looking to her guests for an out and Errol Lewis gives her just that while also committing what gender extremists insist is the unforgivable sin of “misgendering” the psycho killer.
“It sounds like they’re trying to prepare a defense against a hate crimes charge. That’s the least of his problems, legally speaking. But it looks like they’re trying to build some kind of sympathy or at least confusion on the question of whether or not this was purely motivated by hate,” posits Lewis.
“That is what it sounds like. We will wait to see,” replies Camerota.

These people are just so awful.
They don’t get to do this. They don’t get to pivot away and suggest that maybe it’s a legal tactic after chanting the mantra that “transwomen are women” and calling anyone who questioned the authenticity of self-identification a bigot.
For three days the Regime Media has been insisting that this guy was some lunatic Tucker Carlson fanboy who feeds on a steady diet of “anti-LGBT hate” that is apparently comprised mainly of Libs of TikTok posts featuring scantily-clad Drag Queens bumping and grinding in front of children, Matt Walsh podcasts where he openly opposes medical mutilation and castration of minors, and investigative reports by Christopher Rufo exposing the extreme radical gender theory that has been inserted into the public school curriculum in many jurisdictions. That, insists the Regime Media, is fostering an environment of hate.
But once their priors are put into question, they pivot and suddenly find that all self-identification may not be genuine.
Yeah, tell it to the female inmates getting raped by the male convicts — some sex offenders — who are suddenly being housed in women’s prisons because they recently began identifying as “transwomen.”
Or maybe tell it to the girls that lost their opportunity for scholarships because some dude who was ranked low in his sport is suddenly breaking women’s records now that he is a “she.”
Perhaps CNN should tell it to Kristi Hanna, the sex abuse victim who was forced to share a room in a women’s shelter with a “transwoman” who had a pregnant fiancee and spoke openly about “hot” women. Hanna was told to “deal with it or leave” after complaining that she was suffering from rape flashbacks and PTSD symptoms while sharing a room with this trans-identifying male-bodied person with facial hair and chest hair.
When she attempted to file a human rights complaint, Hanna was told that she could be the subject of a human rights complaint by referring to her roommate as “he” — she was guity of the sin of misgendering.
Wait… isn’t that what both Camerota and Lewis did?
It’s a good thing they aren’t in Canada — they’d probably be facing human rights complaints for “misgendering” someone on-air.
The Regime Media is suddenly skeptical after days of spinning unsubstantiated leftwing fever dreams about Aldrich’s motivation — but suddenly, a non-binary individual heading to a gay bar described by the Denver Post as the “heart and soul of Colorado Springs’ LGBTQ community” casts doubt on their narrative. They’re now openly wondering if the self-id is just a tactic to evade a hate crime charge because it would seem improbable that a non-binary individual using they/them pronouns would be motivated by bias to kill the victims based on their LGBTQ-ness.
They can’t imagine any other scenario than a crazed right-winger fed a steady diet of Fox News who had a hatred of the Rainbow Crowd that was stoked by social media.
There are lots of other reasons — maybe he was angry after being spurned by someone at Club Q, some online flamewar spilling over into real life, anger that he didn’t think he’d be accepted by the LGBTQ+ crowd, or maybe he’s just a nutter with a rage problem and took it out on a place he knew had lots of people. We just don’t know.
Neither does the Media but that didn’t stop them from pushing their narrative until it seemingly exploded in their faces.
Those Leftist smear merchants are just bobble-heads nodding along when something makes right-wingers look bad, but they’re immediately skeptical when it looks like conservatives could be right — just look at how they treated the Russian pee tape versus Hunter’s Laptop. The first was accepted as Gospel Truth and the second was dismissed as “Russian disinformation.” Now we know the exact opposite is true.
Unfortunately, the Regime Media is just going to keep doing exactly what they have been doing and will continue to get away with it because they and the so-called “fact-checkers” are on the same page with the “Right Wing Bad” perspective.
All they have to do is wait and find out the motive before politicizing these horrific crimes. They can’t control themselves.
