Google Staffer Posts Day In The Life Video … Immediately Regrets It! (VIDEO)

You’ve seen some of those Silicon Valley videos, right? The ones where they take you on a tour of all the fancy perks that come with the job?

Now that the sugar high that funded Big Tech and Zoom-from-home work culture through the pandemic is coming down to Earth again, the gravy train is grinding to a halt.

For some, more than others, that stop is sudden and unexpected.

For instance, a woman named Nicole pulled back the curtain to show us what her day looks like working in an office Google fashioned out of Howard Hughes’ old airplane hanger.

It’s pretty snazzy. The place is loaded with freebies. For example, Nicole was very happy to show us all the free food she takes advantage of.

There are fancy, themed office rooms employees could flit between. Massage chairs. She even shows a weird room where they dedicated some of their valuable office space to … recordings of ghosts.

It’s all part of a lifestyle the company has been funding, where they are living large on the company dime.

Clearly, Nicole’s office NOT enduring any of the rigid austerity measures Twitter employees were hit with these last few months under Elon.

Actually, hold that thought…

… here comes the follow-up story when those layoffs were announced last week.

Cue the sad trombone.

Nicole was a member of an exclusive group of 6% in her company… whose job was, in somebody’s estimation, not helpful to the bottom line.

Gee, wouldn’t it be a shame if Google’s advanced AI data collection mechanisms had somethint to do with that decision?

Imagine if AI was weaponized against the very people who have been using it to harvest information about the rest of us? Is it possible Google discovered her little TikTok vlog and found out that the part of the job at Google Nicole found most interesting was making videos about the free perks she could milk the company for?

Imagine the irony.

It’s hard to feel sympathy for staff there when Google has been busy slapping any company with opinions to the right of Bernie Sanders onto one sort of blacklist or another, hitting them in the pocket through manipulation of advertisers, reach, and search rankings.

Since that flippant ‘learn to code’ advice is soooo 2019, maybe Nicole can get apply for of those green jobs Biden keeps touting.

Does anyone know if Solyndra’s still hiring?

Biblical Badasses: The Women

In Doug Giles’ latest book, Biblical Badasses: The Women, Giles spotlights ten epic ladies who did awesome things for God with the odds severely stacked against them. These girls weren’t your typical church ladies. They were holy movers and shakers who upset hell with their God-honoring, faith-filled, lives. Giles’ unique take on these terrific women makes the scripture come alive. This book is real, raw, relevant, and irreverent. Giles’ prayer is that after reading, Biblical Badasses: The Women, not only will your noggin be filled with these amazing tales of high and lows from real women who rocked in a hard place, via the power of God, but that you will get off your butt, quit pursuing stupidity, start chasing down your high calling and at the end of your life, you too, like the holy femme fatales featured herein, will have left a massive scar on Satan’s haggard backside.
