OOPS: The Gig UPenn Gave Biden Is About To Land Them In The Hotseat

The original location where those ‘few’ classified documents showed up turned real public attention toward Biden’s UPenn think tank for the first time.

How much attention will UPenn be getting? THIS much:

The chairman of the main House investigative committee announced Thursday that he is expanding his probe of the Biden family to examine the University of Pennsylvania’s reliance on Chinese donations during the time it employed President Joe Biden and hosted his think tank, where classified documents were recently found improperly stored.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer announced the decision after Just the News reported Wednesday night that the Ivy League university, affectionately known as Penn, collected $67.6 million in donations from Chinese sources between 2013 and 2019, two-thirds of it while employing Joe Biden as a guest professor and hosting his Penn Biden Center

Joe claimed to be a ‘prof’ there, but, like so many of the other lies he tells to pad his resume, he never actually taught a course. He pitched a book, and fielded some Q&A sessions, but never actually taught a course. And yet, he still managed to make money hand over fist for his time at that ‘think tank’.

At least 10 senior Biden administration officials held posts at the Penn Biden Center, President Joe Biden’s think tank, where classified records were discovered last year.
The Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement’s leadership included longtime Biden aides and former top Obama administration officials, many now serving in top positions across the White House and the State and Defense departments. The center is affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania, where Biden held an honorary position between 2017 and 2019.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken was the think tank’s managing director from 2017 to 2019, followed by Biden’s now-counselor, and one of the president’s closest advisers, Steve Ricchetti. U.S. Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Michael Carpenter succeeded them in the role.

He made some serious coin while he was there.

What did the University of Pennsylvania get for the more than $900,000 it has paid Joe Biden?
The former vice president collected $371,159 in 2017 plus $540,484 in 2018 and early 2019 for a vaguely defined role that involved no regular classes and around a dozen public appearances on campus, mostly in big, ticketed events.
Penn’s payments to Biden raised eyebrows and questions among some in the community when they were revealed this week as part of the financial disclosures for his presidential campaign. The average salary for a Penn professor was $217,411 in the 2017-18 academic year, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education.

The story is further complicated by massive donations from China coming in at the same time — including eight-figure cash infusions from CCP-connected sources and shell companies, some of which have been linked to Hunter Biden’s business dealings. Suspicious observers would raise questions about whether this is just a sophisticated way for China to launder money they were giving to a politically-connected family.

What could China get in exchange for such an investment?

One possible example would be that Blinken went on to be Biden’s SecDef … and began his tenure with a show of weakness at that Alaska summit. Another would be the fact that UPenn lobbied for an end to Trump-era investigations of

Another example is Biden’s ending of Trump’s ‘China Initiative’ policy in 2022. Who led the charge in that policy change?

If you guessed UPenn, you would be right. One hundred fifty of their faculty members penned a letter that changed Biden’s official policy. It began like this:

Dear Mr. Garland,
We, faculty members at the University of Pennsylvania, are writing this open letter to express our concerns about the U.S. Department of Justice’s China Initiative. We acknowledge the importance to the United States of protecting both intellectual property and information that is essential to our national and economic security. We understand that concerns about Chinese government sanctioned activities including intellectual property theft and economic espionage are important to address. We believe, however, that the China Initiative has deviated significantly from its claimed mission: it is harming
the United States’ research and technology competitiveness and it is fueling biases that, in turn, raise concerns about racial profiling.
— Open Letter

And all it cost China was a lousy $54 Million dollars? It would be a bargan at twice the price.
