How Congressional Response To Bibi Just Blew Up Another Anti-Trump Narrative

Did nobody tell Schumer that lies will eventually catch up with you?

What happens when a leftist agenda collides with the lies they’ve been pedaling? Well, THIS happens.

In case you haven’t noticed, the left hates — HATES — Israel’s Bibi Netanyahu. They’ve been actively working to unseat him since the Obama years. (So much for their ‘foreign interference’ complaint, eh?) Despite their best efforts, Bibi keeps outlasting all of his critics.

That hasn’t stopped both Schumer and Biden from publicly calling for the regime change — not of a country like like Iran, North Korea, Russia, or even China that is either openly or clandestinely hostile to actual American interest… but Israel.

Schumer kicked a hornet’s nest when he went to the Senate floor to denounce Israel’s duly-elected President, forgetting that he is at least as legitimate a leader of Israel as the American President is in America. Not only does he hold the support of a coalition in the Knesset, but that coalition has become even stronger since Hamas first declared war on Israel last October.

Since that speech, Netanyahu has requested an opportunity to address the same body that has defamed him. The Dems rebuffed him, but the GOP gave him an audience.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke virtually to Republican senators during a closed-door meeting Wednesday and found a welcome reception.

But Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., declined a request by Netanyahu to address the Senate Democratic caucus, a spokesperson for Schumer said, adding: “Sen. Schumer made it clear that he does not think these discussions should happen in a partisan manner. That’s not helpful to Israel.”
[…] On Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said he told Netanyahu directly that he disagrees with Schumer.

“I made it clear to him that it’s not the business of the United States to be giving a democratic ally advice about when to have an election or what kind of military campaign they’re conducting,” McConnell told reporters. “We obviously have a lot in common. But it seems to me the bipartisan support for Israel seems to be cracking on the political left of this country.”

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., summed up Netanyahu’s message to Republicans as: “We’re not looking for a tie. We’re looking for a win. We’re going to continue to fight to wipe out Hamas.”

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., said Netanyahu was asked about Schumer’s comments about a new election in Israel.

“He was very direct, he said he thought that Sen. Schumer’s remarks were wholly inappropriate and outrageous,” Hawley said. “And obviously he took great offense.” — NBCNews

Congress is a bicameral body. The Senate leader has stiff-armed Israel’s Prime Minister, but what about the GOP-controlled House? Speaker Johnson gets a say in what goes on there, too.

“I would love to have him come in and address a joint session of Congress. We’ll certainly extend that invitation” to Netanyahu, Johnson said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
“We’re just trying to work out schedules on all this,” he added.

Johnson has been asked to speak at Israel’s parliament, the Knesset.

Why is that a problem for the left’s narrative?

Because it highlights the flip-flop the left has made in demonizing conservatives while pandering to voters.

Ever since they had that out-of-context ‘very fine people’ quote they spun into an easily-disproved allegation that Trump supports bigots, they have been pushing an obvious lie that Trump — whose own daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids are Jewish — is antisemitic.

Joe even used that quote as the bogus justification for his Presidential run… and brought it out again this year.

But now ‘Genocide Joe’ is feeling serious political pressure from a group who has no love for Israel. It could cost him much-needed support in battleground states like Michigan. Even his own party is turning on him for the pro-Israel stance he held in the early days of October.

But more and more, Joe is bending to the will of the militant pro-Hamas clods who shut down city streets and block access to airports. Joe and his party with him.

It’s a little rich for the team that is calling for ‘regime change’ for Israel’s duly-elected Prime Minister to paint the man who helped facilitate the Abraham Accord peace deals as ‘antisemitic’.

There are several elected Democrats who might be worthy of that label.

But if they’re trying to slap that label on Republicans?

Make them PROVE it.
