Remember when Biden’s White House bragged that people were saving a whole 16 cents on grilling up a July 4th feast? Trump doesn’t need any slick talking points to talk about what his policies have accomplished.
Biden and his surrogates were working hard to counter the inflation narrative by claiming their July 4th meals where calculated to have been a whopping 16 cents cheaper than they would have been the previous year. The internet mocked them, as you would expect.
Trump’s team never resorted to such tactics, because he never had to. The press did the heavy lifting for him. The White House communications team could just stitch the clips together and run them as-is.
CNN was even so helpful as to calculate what that savings would look like from the perspective of the American motorist — over half a billion dollars in savings over last year’s holiday weekend.
