Rubio Brings ‘America First’ To Branding Of ALL Taxpayer-Funded American Aid
Why hide the identity of their true benefactors behind a half-dozen branding logos when one will say everything that needs saying?

America First can mean a lot of things, but at least one of those things should include the citizens of America getting proper credit for any acts of generosity made throughout the world.
If Congress insists on sending a bag of flour, a crate of materials, or cash money to parts unknown in some far-flung part of the world, there should be something in that exchange that reminds the recipient exactly WHO they ought to be thanking.
It really isn’t a random pencil-pusher from some third-floor cubicle in the Capitol that gave them what they asked for, it’s the taxpayer. And it’s about time that both the giver and receiver of such aid got a reminder that any of these intermediate ‘agencies’ are nothing more than a flow-through from which the REAL generosity comes.
Marco Rubio’s State Department is making a change that will return ‘We The People’ to the rightful position of prominence in that equation.
The State Department is launching a new “America First” rebranding initiative to consolidate all the logos for its offices under a singular one depicting the American flag — an effort that aligns with the agency’s massive overhaul plans.
Whereas separate logos existed previously for offices, including embassies, bureaus and programs under the U.S. Agency for International Development, the rebranding effort seeks to establish “consistent branding” across all these platforms to best reflect American contributions abroad, according to a State Department official.
“The redesign is very simple, and that was to recenter and re-anchor the visual identity of American efforts overseas in the American flag,” Darren Beattie, acting undersecretary for public diplomacy at the State Department, told Fox News Digital Tuesday. — FoxNews
Do you immediately think ‘brought tot you by the American taxpayer’ when you see brands like ‘MSH’, ‘Power Africa’, PSI, Save The Children, Global Communities, DAI, jhpiego, or fhi360?
Yeah, me neither.
But ‘Provided by the United States of America’ written under a great big American Flag? That sends a whole DIFFERENT message.
While we’re talking about the demise of USAid, have you heard about the building that was housing it? It’s named for Ronald Reagan, and it will be serving as the new HQ for the FBI.
