GRAMMIES: Jelly Roll Vs Bad Bunny As the Perfect Metaphor For America Right Now

In a self-indulgent world of preening elites, one man broke from the crowd

Every time America’s supposedly ‘elite’ entertainment class comes together to congratulate themselves, it reminds of how much they despise the very people that propelled them to fame and stardom.

There are actual horrors in the world that our virtue-signalling elite could ‘raise awareness’ for — the ongoing slaughter of Persian civilians by their overlords in in Iran comes to mind. We have conflicting numbers for just HOW many tens of thousands have been murdered by the regime, but some estimates have us approaching eighty-to-one-hundred thousand dead. We have videos of live rounds being shot into ambulances.

So, where are the Grammy attendees venting their anger?

At *checks notes* the law enforcement agency responsible for enforcing laws currently on the books as written by both parties in Congress. As Tom Homan rightly points out, if you want to protest, that should be directed toward the people who write such laws, not the ones who enforce them. As for who is driving the protest? When you dig down, you find out pretty quickly you’ve got a Communist Billionaire from Shanghai massively funding all of the various NGOs whose subsidiaries have been running very sophisticated Color-revolution-style insurgency actions directed against the duly-elected government acting on its legal requirement as outlined in the Take Care clause of the Constitution.

Everyone and their dog showed up wearing (besides the usual ridiculous getups — looking at you Heidi Klum) little ‘awareness’ pins showing their solidarity with the Chines Communist Billionaire’s ICE Out campaign. But ‘Russian Collusion’, even when it’s completely made up is bad, right?

We’ve got that guy who was picked for the Half-time Show accepting an award. Here’s how he rocked up to receive it:

“Um… Before I say thanks to God, I’m gonna say ICE Out.”

That first part is important. We’ll come back to that.

Perfunctory ‘thanks to God’ in these awards show settings has become exactly that. A rote recital. But Jelly Roll was different. He knew he’d get the hook if he didn’t come right out and say what he had to say, so he did not ‘bury the lede’ with some kind of lame political statement or virtue signal. He came right out with a heartfelt thanks that included the people to whom he was truly grateful, and it made the empty ‘thanks to God’ speeches of the others look cheap and plastic by comparison.

“I know they’re gonna try to kick me off here, so just let me try to get this out.”

“First of all, Jesus, I hear you and I’m listening, Lord. I am listening.”

“I want to tell y’all right now, Jesus is for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party. Jesus is not owned by no music label. Jesus is Jesus and anybody, everybody can have a relationship with him…”

For Jelly Roll, it’s Christ before all else, including and especially politics. In simple terms, he is Lord of All or not at all. And that’s the ‘tell’ in Bad Bunny’s speech.

Before I talk about God, here is my political statement…

Yeah, if that’s your priority, don’t bother to invoke God’s name at all. We know you don’t mean it.

But Jelly Roll? How can we know he means it? Well, if you’ve not already seen our story about Jelly Roll and the awards show last week, you should probably check it out: ICYMI: Bear Bailey’s ‘Star Search’ Performance Left One Judge In Tears… And The ‘Why’ Is AWESOME!

If you haven’t guessed already, Jelly Roll was the judge.

The PERFECT Gift For The Art Loving Warrior

Dear Fellow Warriors: My new book just dropped, GILES VOL. I: The Biblical Warrior Collection. It’s a full color coffee table compilation of my biblical paintings over the last 20yrs. As you know, I don’t depict the biblical men in this book as sweet bearded women but rough troublemakers who shook all of hell’s habitations. It’s a great gift for the male and female scrappy warriors on your Christmas list. Young kids will love it too. 70+ original paintings. 234 pages with the scriptural inspiration behind each painting. It’s a beautiful book.

RECOMMENDATIONS. “One reason I buy Doug’s priceless art is to make bold statements on the walls of my home. Lively discussions come alive to bring home the Gospel messages behind the brushstrokes gifted to Mr. Giles. Pastor Doug’s creativity in canvassing the Biblical perspective is daring and courageous.”
