Swalwell Rages At FBI For Precisely What He Demanded It Do To Trump

Now that he’s being forced to play by the rules he set for others, Eric Swalwell is Big Mad. Hasn’t he ever read ‘Rules For Radicals’? There’s a whole chapter on making people play by their own rules!
For years, it has been obvious to anyone paying attention that Eric Swalwell is the personification of everything we hate in a greasy politician. He and Shifty Schiff exploited their access to classified information in the Gang of Eight to sabotage Trump’s administration at every turn. It was an open secret that the two played a direct or indirect role in many of the leaks that plagued Trump 45’s administration.
More than that, they weaponized the Mueller investigation for political gain (Pelosi getting the gavel as a direct result of Russiagate).
A detail of critical importance in the context of Eric’s current whining about pending FBI disclosures in Swalwell’s file is the fact that Eric himself was one of the voices calling for a COMPLETE and UNREDACTED release of the Mueller Report.
Of course he would know that Grand Jury investigation information cannot be made public because it is unfair to the accused. The include any accusatory evidence that can be gathered, without consideration of whether that information is true or not. (Such questions are settled in a court of law.)
But that was exactly why Swalwall WANTED it to be public. Swalwell, already a suspected leaker, was upset that the Grand Jury information had not been delivered to his committee to review. He would NEVER use damning oppo against Trump for political advancement, right?
Uh-huh. Riiiiight.
Fast forward to 2026, and Eric is raging at Kash Patel for making FBI files about him public… during an election year.
Swalwell: If Fang Fang Files are released, it will be the "greatest abuse of power by an FBI Director since J. Edgar Hoover."

Lawyers for Swalwell sent a cease-and-desist letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, warning the bureau would violate federal privacy law if it moves ahead with releasing records regarding the congressman’s decade-old relationship with a suspected Chinese spy named Christine “Fang Fang” Fang.
“[Y]our attempt to release the file is a transparent attempt to smear him and undermine his campaign for Governor of California,” Swalwell’s attorneys, Sean Hecker and Norm Eisen, said in a recent letter to Patel obtained by The Associated Press. “Your actions threaten to expose you, others at the FBI, and the FBI itself to significant legal liability. Indeed, disclosure of the investigative file would violate federal law in several respects.” — FoxNews

‘Only someone with something to hide would be interested in pre-screening what the outcome. He literally makes the ‘what is he hiding’ allegation with respect to the redactions, claiming knowledge he could not possibly possess about his ‘guilty conscience’. He pledged to ‘fight like hell’ with every resource available to him to exposed the entirety of the Mueller Report.
2019. Eric Swalwell says that he will “fight like hell” for the Mueller Report to be released if Trump tries to stop it.
Swalwell said that the American people deserve transparency and that if Trump is innocent, he should want to release everything.

His eagerness to fast-track the release of the Epstein files (right up until the moment it became an issue that hurt more prominent Dems while exonerating Trump)…
Next, his insistence that the FBI itself (which happened to be during the not-at-all-politically-compromised, wink, wink Biden Administration) would exonerate him, specifically on the issue of his connection to a Chinese honeypot spy.
‘Dana, don’t take my word for it. Take the FBI’s word for it.’
