20 Things a Mom Should Tell Her Daughter

12. You can do anything a man can do, which means he can do what you do too. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, even with midnight feedings or household chores. Mutual respect is the key to a good relationship. Be strong as well as loving. Life, marriage and parenting require both.

13. “Yes ma’am” and “yes sir” still go a long way.

14. The reason that they’re called “private parts” is because they’re “private”. Don’t send pictures of them ANYWHERE. They WILL come back to haunt you. Remember, the internet is forever.

15. Peer pressure is always around, and can be scary. Be brave and be a leader. Do right and the right people will follow.

16. Send him a card or “I love you” text for no reason.

17. It is better to be kind than to be right, just don’t bend your morals to be liked.

18. A sense of humor goes a long way in the healing process. So does prayer.

19. Remember that you are the gatekeeper to your in-laws spending time with your children. Be smart, be kind and remember that your children deserve TWO loving families, not just one.

20. Lastly and most importantly, remember to call your mother because I might be missing you.

Please feel free to add to the list in the comments. Our daughters can never have too much good advice!
