PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Action News anchor Monica Malpass was on assignment Wednesday to interview President Barack Obama one-on-one at the White House.

They discussed several topics, including the shooting of two TV news staffers during a live report in Virginia.

“It breaks my heart every time you read or hear about these kids of incidents,” President Obama said.

“What we know is that the number of people who die from gun-related incidents around this country dwarfs any deaths that happen through terrorism,” the president continued.
