I’ve never been a person who puts much validity into conspiracy theories. I don’t think there are black helicopters monitoring our every movement, I don’t believe the Illuminati controls my bank account, and I don’t believe that ancient aliens built the pyramids and used humans for genetic experiments.
Having said that, though, there are two situations in our history that do look like the Conspiracies R Us folks might have something. First one is the Kennedy assassination in November, 1963. I say that simply because of the Abraham Zapruder film. I know the film has been called a hoax while others say it does show that JFK was hit from another angle other than from behind. It’s an intriguing bit of film and will always leave the question of another shooter open, at least for me.
However, at this point in time, I suppose it doesn’t really matter. If there was another shooter, he probably died of old age by now in some Central American hell-hole of a country. Either that, or he was “dispatched” quickly by someone in a black helicopter. Either way, I don’t think we’ll ever know for sure. Perhaps it’s for the best.
The other conspiracy I really do feel might be true is this. I really believe that a cure for cancer, even AIDs, exists. We’ll just never be given access to it. There’s a lot more money to be made in treatment than in a cure…for anything.
My reasoning behind this is purely empirical. Growing up, I don’t remember seeing TV ads for this or that Cancer Institute of Oncology Hospital. There were no promotions for new drug treatments considered to be less “intrusive or harsh”. Think about this for a second. My baby boomer generation is the proverbial gift of a cash cow to the pharmaceutical oligarchy. As long as they can pump us full of some new chemical and/or hook us up to the latest expensive machine that goes “beep”, there’s money to be made.
Okay, so much for my personal viewpoint on conspiracy theories. However, I’m beginning to believe that there really is a conspiracy of sorts that is shown to be true, right now, every day, if we just put the pieces together.
The current phrase “deep state” refers to the hold-over Obamabots leeched unto entrails of the Federal government. These anti-American traitors have one goal and that is to bring down the Trump Administration, using any means possible, legal and otherwise.
Once again, let’s look at this empirically. Consider all the death threats against President Trump that have been made. Why hasn’t there been any prosecution of people such as Johnny Depp, Madonna, Cathy Griffin and others who publicly stated their desire to do physical harm to the president? Recently, a Missouri state legislator, Maria Chappelle-Nadal, posted on-line that she hoped someone would step up and assassinate the President. While this is being widely condemned, she has yet to be removed from office. What’s taking so long?
Back in the 1980s, I served on a Federal Grand Jury here in Indiana. One of the cases we were given involved a death threat to then President Reagan. We got the case because the threat was made by phone from here in Indiana. I remember a Secret Service agent testified before us to the fact that they are required to follow up on every threat. Even if the person making the threat might be mentally “challenged” and simply seeking attention, the threat would still be taken seriously. As I remember, we did vote to indict the individual in this case who made the threat.
So why aren’t these current threats, by celebrities and even state legislators, being taken as seriously? Why haven’t any indictments been made, and prison sentences been set by the appropriate courts? All these threats have been made publicly, on video and on-line. What other evidence is needed? Who’s pulling the strings and calling the shots from the “deep state”?
The same goes for all the chaos, riots and physical and verbal assaults made by groups such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter, the “Resistance”, etc., etc. Tearing down statues, disrupting speech by well-known conservatives, blocking highways…what’s next? Book burnings?
These incidents are being coordinated through various social media platforms, but I believe the true organization of Antifa, BLM, etc., comes from within the deep state. In both Berkley and Charlottesville, the police did little to nothing to stop rioters. The criminals controlled the streets. Are we being allowed to turn into 1920s Germany, before Hitler even came to power?
Along with the Left’s refusal to understand the “why” of losing the election of 2016, and their complicit media’s attempts to divert public attention away from Clinton, Wasserman-Shultz, even Obama, by harping on Russia and negatively twisting everything President Trump says or does, there is mounting evidence that the “protests”, “marches”, “gatherings” are just too well organized.
But this will go down as part of the Left’s legacy. Just as they underestimated how much we deplorables really do pay attention, they’ll continue to miss the fact that we also understand their blatant treachery for what it is.
