Clinton Loyalist Says, ‘Mueller’s Done, And Dems Should Be Too — Because Trump Is No Nixon’

Written by K. Walker on April 22, 2019

The Democrats are not backing down and neither is the Partisan Press. One Democrat says they really should just let it go.

You’ve gotta love the journos that have been given Pulitzers and were happily patting themselves on the back for getting all of the coverage on the Special Counsel investigation against President Trump absolutely right except for one teeny, tiny little part — the alleged “collusion” with Russia.

Whoops.

But, it’s not like they’re defensive about it or claiming that Attorney General Barr is off his rocker on busting their narrative…

Hoo-boy, that’s embarrassing!

But then, it’s Brian Williams. He might be so accustomed to being embarrassed that he has built up an immunity.

Former Clinton loyalist, Mark Penn wrote an actual honest piece in the Hill about the long-anticipated Mueller report and it’s really quite enlightening.

Penn stated that the Mueller report was always going to “paint a picture of obstruction of justice” but that the case laid out in the report was flimsier than he had imagined it to be.

The walls were not coming down. They were not closing in. There was, at the end of the day, no evidence whatsoever of any collusion — and there was nothing but a president frustrated at being wrongly accused and wrongly investigated over a very effective hoax.

(Emphasis added)

Penn goes on to condemn the Democrats for their ridiculous, self-serving partisan games, and names Congressmen Jerrold Nadler(D-NY) and Adam Schiff(D-CA) as the chief culprits of pushing the narrative.

Rep. Nadler is the Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and Rep. Schiff is the Chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, so they’ve each got a vested interest in keeping this thing going, along with enough power to abuse to make it continue ad infinitum. Penn says that it will take “some Democrats of courage” to put an end to the constant digging in search of a crime.

Penn also says that if they don’t let it go, it will “set the Democratic party back a decade.”

And so, the screaming partisan antics of Democrats in the House are likely to set the Democratic Party back a decade if they do not get a grip on themselves. In partisan unison, with scripted talking points, they keep calling everyone else “partisan.” It simply does not pass the laugh test at this point.

But the problem is that Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) are congressmen from safe districts who are nobodies if they have no investigations to launch. It’s in the interest of their egos to keep it all going so that they can have daily press availabilities. And they are whipping up their political bases. It will take some Democrats of courage to turn this off and stop the abuse of going after the president’s financial records. These are the kinds of things Nixon was doing, and there is no justification for those in Congress to be doing exactly those things for which Nixon resigned from office — going after his political enemies.

Penn is also a Democrat centrist, which is about as welcome in the party these days as smallpox. So, we’ll see if his warning is heeded.

It’s time for Democrats and the country to move past the Russia collusion narrative and for the media to fess up. If we are not going to respect the outcome of the Mueller report, then what was the point of the whole exercise? They found no collusion, and they did not charge obstruction.

I don’t think the Media(D) is going to take that suggestion well.

They seamlessly shifted from “Trump-Russia Collusion” to “Obstruction of Justice” all while patting themselves on the back for the great job that they’ve done.

Meanwhile, the average American is tired of the “Collusion Delusion.”

Look at what the desperate Media(D) is resorting to now — turning on their savior, Robert Mueller. MSNBC even chased Mueller as he was leaving church on Easter Sunday.

I’m sure that “Easter worshipper” Robert Mueller was thrilled with being questioned on his way to his car.

Seriously, it’s getting really weird now.

At least the public is responding accordingly.

Standing up to the bullies was the one response the Left’s political machine was completely unprepared for… and Trump knew it. It’s why we elected him in the first place.

It inspired latest in the MAGA series of our very own Resident Artist, Doug Giles capturing that same defiant spirit perfectly.
