JEALOUS, TABLE FOR ONE: Occasional-Cortex Freaks Over NYT’s Pretty Pic Of Hope Hicks

It looks like the Green-Eyed Monster has reared its head within the House of Representatives.

Of course, that’s not what Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) will tell you. She’ll say it’s all about “treating people equally.”

Over the weekend, the New York Times published an article about former White House Communications Director, Hope Hicks, and the Congressional subpoena that was issued to her because she was named 28 times in the Mueller Report. “Clinton-friendly” journalist, Maggie Haberman, wrote the article and it was hardly a flattering piece.

Haberman writes:

[Hicks] appears on more than two dozen pages in the report by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, mostly in the second volume, which deals with allegations of obstruction of justice against Mr. Trump.

Like few others in the White House, Ms. Hicks was witness to some of the president’s angriest moments and most pointed directives about the investigations into the Trump campaign and its contacts with Russians in 2016. Her dilemma now is how to respond to House Democrats, who have grown frustrated and increasingly aggressive in the face of a sweeping decision by the Trump administration, and the Trump Organization, to oppose such subpoenas.

AOC and former CNN anchor, Soledad O’Brien, didn’t take issue with the piece itself, but of the photograph of Hicks which accompanied it.

O’Brien thought that the choice of photo was inappropriate and called it a “glam shot” that revealed the pro-Trump bias of the New York Times. That would be the same New York Times that posted a series of anti-Trump cartoons, including a homoerotic one involving Vladimir Putin. (Which is weird, because I thought that mocking a straight person as being gay was a form of homophobia.)

Which goes to show you that even a former CNN broadcast journalist turned executive producer doesn’t read the Times.

But this is the world of #Resist where Hillary is actually President, Stacey Abrams is the Governor of Georgia, and the greatest threat to democracy is Donald J. Trump who actually won the election that he was in.

Yes, dearies, these folks are messed up. The New York Times being pro-Trump is just one more bit of delusion.

AOC was quick to agree with O’Brien and quickly implied (you guessed it!) RACISM!

It’s all about color, y’all.

Since AOC is sooo concerned with transparency, perhaps she would comment on the possible campaign finance fraud investigation that earned her Chief of Staff a cool million. No?

Weird.

Occasional-Cortex said that the photo was more like the promo for a Lifetime drama.

Speaking of drama, here’s her tweet:

Ann Coulter responded with a wee bit of truth.

She’s right. Hope Hicks is just beautiful.

Let’s face it, AOC has had her own share of “cover shots” on Vanity Fair, The Hollywood Reporter, Rolling Stone, and even Time…

…and the last time I checked, Hope Hicks wasn’t featured in a Netflix documentary.

Heck, AOC has been featured positively on more magazine covers since she was elected than our First Lady has been since the Inauguration.

Occasional-Cortex has even been cast as the hero in her own comic book.

But, maybe featuring a flattering photo of a young conservative woman is just amplifying AOC’s own personal insecurities.

Maybe if she cracked a history book she could solve at least one of those two problems.

You can see it in her eyes, she’s got big plans for America. Big, psychotic plans.

Plans for putting a stake through the heart of industry, in the name of Democratic Socialism. Plans for dismantling ICE and letting illegals stream over our borders. Plans for outlawing cars, and our burgers. Because otherwise, the world will end in 12 years. And you’d better do it, or else, because she’ll tell ya “I’m The Boss!”

She’s not exactly ‘shelf stable’, but she IS an elected representative. She’s Alexandria Occasio-Cortez: The American Psycho!
