Just Do It! Former ICE Director, Tom Homan, Mulls 2024 Run Against Anti-ICE Senator
How amazing would this be? Run, Tom, Run!
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m a pretty big Tom Homan fan. I love his no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners attitude. I love how he blasts the Dems with about what is really happening on the border. He calls out the Democrats on their hypocrisy and their petty partisan politics. Homan wants to keep Americans safe by opposing bad immigration policies. He tells it like it is.
On Monday, Homan appeared as a guest on the Washington Examiner podcast, Examining Politics and told host Larry O’Connor, that he was considering running against New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
O’Connor had asked Homan if he was considering replacing Rep. Pete King (R-NY) who has made the decision that after 14 terms in Congress, he will not seek re-election once his current term ends.
Homan, although he was born in New York and doesn’t currently reside there, is planning on moving back once he retires. He didn’t rule out running for office, but not to replace a current Republican seat. Homan said if he did run, it would be to oust Senator Kirsten Gillibrand(D-NY).
Homan said, “Let me just say this — when I do return to New York and if Senator Gillibrand is still around, she won’t be around because I will take her on.”
Back in May, Homan appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show and slammed Gillibrand’s anti-ICE comments, saying that she has no idea what she is talking about or that she’s “just not that smart.” Gillibrand suggested that ICE had become a “deportation force” and that it should be abolished. Homan nuked Gillibrand’s claims and said that the left’s open borders policies only exacerbate the problems at the border.
The former Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement is a frequent witness in Congressional hearings where he often gets into firey exchanges with Democrats.
Homan told O’Connor, “The Democrats don’t want me up there but when they have these hearings and they want to attack the administration, they have to give the minority, the Republicans in the House, one witness. They’re quick to call me because I’ve done it for 34 years, I know the game, I’ve played it … if you say something that’s not right I’m going to speak up.”
Those Congressional testimonies are things of beauty… or the stuff of nightmares if you’re a Democrat.
Homan is standing up for the agents that work for ICE and are regularly vilified by Democrats and the Media(D) for simply doing their job.
Homan told O’Connor, “ICE are the good guys. ICE wants to protect the community. ICE wants to take the bad guy off the street.”
Wouldn’t it be great to have a Senator from New York like Tom Homan?
Just think of the debates! Gillibrand wouldn’t stand a chance.
