Now that he’s been convicted, there is one very obvious ‘Make Mexico Pay for it’ option staring us all right in the face.
The Leftists wouldn’t have a leg to stand on in standing opposed to this one.

“Fourteen billion dollars will go a long way to secure our southern border, and hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals,” Cruz said of his bill in a January news release. “By leveraging any criminally forfeited assets of El Chapo and other murderous drug lords, we can offset the cost of securing our border and make meaningful progress toward delivering on the promises made to the American people.”
Supporters of the wall argue it will deter criminals from entering the U.S. illegally while opponents say the wall would have a minimal impact on the flow of people and drugs into the country.

Critics are already groaning about the tunnels El Chapo was known for. That misses the point entirely.
1) If they have to dig UNDER, that means the deterrent has been working.
2) Our ally Israel has some award-winning next-generation anti-tunnel tech. That’s because THEIR walls have been so effective at keeping terrorists from just strolling across the border that hostiles have been forced to use more difficult and expensive tactics, like tunnels. It would make sense if we used our longstanding friendship to ask Israel if they’d be willing to share that tech with us.
Any OTHER objections to securing our border with the wealth of a Cartel that has been exploiting our porous borders and killing untold numbers of Americans with his contraband and violence?
Or should we just call this one a no-brainer?
Remember how Chuck and Nancy droned on and on about how they shouldn’t have to put one thin dime into border security because ‘Trump promised that Mexico would pay for it’. Now that there’s a way to do precisely that, what plausible excuse would they possibly have for objecting?
Aside from a secret need to keep that flow of future Democrat voters coming.
