Canada is so woke that it is now acceptable for a teacher to wear outlandish fetish wear in classrooms.

You may recall the viral photos and video of shop teacher, Kayla Lemieux, who teaches at Oakville Trafalgar High School in Southern Ontario.

Lemieux’s enormous prosthetic breasts with visible nipples were so over-the-top that the story went viral internationally.

The outrage from parents and students that followed sparked a call from Education Minister Stephen Lecce on September 26 for the Ontario College of Teachers to review and strengthen professional conduct provisions.

Minister Lecce said that although Ontario “celebrates differences”, there “must be the highest standards of professionalism in front of our kids.”

The College agreed and has told Canadian media that they are currently reviewing their professional standards, but have not yet made any public statements on the subject.

Meanwhile, the Halton District School Board (HDSB), where Lemieux teaches, conducted its own review after they were criticized for having a strict dress code for students but not for teachers.

The results of the HDSB review were released late last week and they show that the school board is more concerned about protecting the “rights” of the teacher’s “gender expression” in the classroom rather than protecting students from some pervert walking around in fetish gear.

The HDSB determined that it cannot implement a dress code for teachers right now because it would be a “considerable liability” to impose a dress code. For one, it might violate labour law since collective bargaining between the teachers’ union and the province is ongoing. They added that even if they could do it, they’re not sure if it would stand because it would likely run afoul of the Human Rights Code in Ontario that protects “gender expression”.

The Halton District School Board concluded in a newly released report that the board should not bring in a dress code for teachers because of human rights concerns…
…Sari Taha, the superintendent of human resources with the school board, told trustees that there are two considerations regarding dress codes. The first is whether a dress code would be allowed under labour and employment law. The second is whether it would be contrary to Ontario’s Human Rights Code.
Either way, the board can’t make any changes right now because it cannot update workplace rules during collective bargaining, which is ongoing. “Even if we are to consider a workplace rule in that sense, we can’t do that,” Taha told the board.
Still, the report concluded that the board would be exposed to “considerable liability” if it implemented a dress code on the basis of it being considered discriminatory.

The teacher’s “gender expression” is a slap in the face to women and the board is further insulting women by affirming this outlandish caricature of womanhood as normative and acceptable behaviour.

Superintendent Sari Taha and Director of Education Curtis Ennis authored thw report and wrote, “Even if a dress code is implemented for non-discriminatory reasons, it would likely be found to be discriminatory where it adversely affects an employee or group of employees on the basis of their Code-protected grounds.”

“Finally, and most importantly, we note that if the employer desires to foster a culture of professionalism, respect, equity and inclusion, a truly reasonable and non-discriminatory dress code or grooming standards would most likely fail to yield the intended results,” wrote Taha and Ennis.

“Similarly, it is important to recognize the impact that dress code policies can have on members of the transgender community. Most notably, it is important for employers to make allowances to ensure that these employees are able to express themselves in accordance with their lived gender,” the report says.

Oh. So the employers should allow a pervert to wear fetish wear to class because that’s how he expresses himself according to his “lived gender”?

What happened to standards? Can a female teacher walk into class with a massive strap-on, then? How is this any different?

To illustrate just how absurd this all is, here is a video of comedian ALex Stein’s newly-released video at the Plano, Texas city council meeting where he played the role of a middle school teacher who was fired for wearing a latex dog mask.

Prime Time 99 does comedy, but what isn’t funny is that this might very well be acceptable in the ultra-woke Halton District School Board.

There is suspicion — based largely on rumors posted to social media platforms — that Lemieux is actually a disgruntled teacher who is just trolling the school board. Some of this speculation is because of the disbelief that a shop teacher could be so “woke” that he would disregard safety by wearing the massive prosthetic breasts in wood shop. This idea was fueled because in one video that went viral, Lemieux didn’t appear to wear protective gear while operating a circular saw. In some of the photos of Lemieux, he is not just wearing the massive prosthetic, but a surgical mask outdoors and below his nose.

Rumors online are that Lemieux is actually decidedly un-woke and had run afoul of the HDSB because of his rants last year about masks, virtual learning, and COVID. The theory is that Lemieux is playing a game of chicken with the school board to see if he’ll get fired for his clearly inappropriate dress and expose their woke hypocrisy.

If that’s what this is, then that’s a helluva commitment because he’s been walking around in that get-up for more than two months now.

What is really surprising is that although this has been going on since the beginning of the school year and garnered international attention mid-September, not one journalist has been able to speak to the teacher at the center of the controversy. Incredible.

Perhaps, like the HDSB, they’re afraid of violating the Ontario Human Rights Code if they asked Lemieux the wrong questions.

This particular woke school board wants the provincial government to remove a portion of the Education Act that says that teachers should encourage a “love of country” and “Judeo-Christian morality” because it’s “contrary” to equity and inclusivity policies.

From the article:

An Ontario school board is demanding the Ontario government remove a clause from the Education Act that says teachers’ duties should include encouraging “love of country” and “Judeo-Christian morality”, among other values.
Citing inclusivity and diversity, Halton District School Board’s (HDSB) Board of Trustees Chair Margo Shuttleworth wrote in a letter to Education Minister Stephen Lecce that Section 264(1)(c) of the Act was “contrary to” equity and inclusive education policies…
…The full wording of the section in the Act the board wants to remove says it requires teachers to “inculcate the precept and example of respect for religion and the principles of Judeo-Christian morality and the highest regard for truth, justice, loyalty, love of country, humanity, benevolence, sobriety, industry, frugality, purity, temperance and all other virtues.”
“In this spirit, we respectfully ask the Minister to revoke and replace Section 264(1)(c) of the Act to reflect contemporary and current diversity, equity and inclusion policy and practices,” writes Shuttleworth. The provincial government does not appear to have responded yet to the letter.

When school board administrators, trustees, or teachers’ union representatives say that what they do is “all about the students”… don’t believe them. They have a political agenda and they’re committed to pushing against your values for what they claim is in the best interests of the students.

How is a teacher wearing oversized fetish gear to class “in the students’ best interests”?

The HDSB has stated that they will allow a guy to walk around as an unflattering caricature of a woman with massive prosthetic breasts because they’re afraid of getting sued by the activists in the Alphabet Lobby if they attempt to impose a professional standards of dress.

They clearly don’t give a damn about the learning environment of the students.

It’s way past time for school choice in Canada.
